Empire Education Mrs.French, Ms.Muse, Mr.Overlie POOR Directors, POOR Instructors, No Diversity, A VERY SAD EXCUSE for a school, And a HUGE WASTE of $17.000!!!! Dont Believe the HYPE. And dont forget RACIST Cincinnati, Ohio

Let me begin by saying: Do your research before starting any school,(my 1st mistake) never believe the Hype of any staff members, they will say anything to get you in!! Talk to Students, Shadow a class for a day, and OBSERVE!!
When i first begin empire earlier this year, i was told that i would be receiving the BEST education in cosmetology. (1st lie) I was told that there was an Open door policy, and that the staff really cared about there students. Within my 1st month, everything was going according to the "EMPIRE" plan. Teaching was great! i was learning, and then BOOM.. all hell broke loose! during the next 2-3 months our class had went through 4 different educators. None of which were on the same page. Nothing was consistant anymore, nothing! And who suffered from it? The STUDENTS! Not to mention the 2pain in the a*s  Directors we had to go through. who also was NOT on the same page. 
Everyday there's a different rule (which applies to whom ever they want to apply it to) And cosequences are based upon if your "liked" by the staff! If they like you, (you dont get bothered and if they do say something or catch that student doing anything, its a pat on the shoulder, If your "NOT LIKED" by staff, be ready to be Expelled, or put under investigation) I had the courtesy of hearing Ms.Muse whispering to Ms.G, saying that she didnt understand how i was passing ALL of my test with hundreds and was told to keep an eye on me because i was suspected of cheating. Same teacher (Ms. Muse) had once told the director that i had left school, When in fact i was on the floor talkin with a visitor, that came to see me. Same teacher sent me home for wearing Gray tights on "dress down Fridays" because i wasnt wearing Jeans. (which later i found out, she had no authority to do so. (i also did not receive my hours back for the 6hours i missed due to her sending me home) The teachers and directors Pretend to care about the students, but there actions speak louder than words. The students in the Pre-Salon classes were complaining about not learning in the class room and were told(by Mr.Overlie) the new Excutive Director, that if we continued to complain we would be suspended. We were also told that Empire educators are not here to teach us "bookwork" so we will No LONGER be Reading out of any text book in school, we are to do that at home or on our on time. and that they were there to teach us How To do styles, (which alot of the styles, the educators are being taught by the students) sad, but true. Nothing at this Empire school is consistant, its very unprofessional, and in one instant, the staff (Mel & Ms.G) to be exact went through my belongings without my knowledge in front of the whole class, whille i was in the break room. We are treated like High schoolers, it's pathetic. i myself is one of empires top students, my attendance is at a 98% and my academics is at a 99%. I feel as though myself, and alot of other students are bein set up to be kicked out empire here in the near future(for what reason, ive yet to come up with yet). Sad to say, that ive wasted $17,000 on a false hope to be one of the best cosmetologist. The staff gossip and cause trouble more than some students. They have No Black educators and we are not being taught properly how to perform services on african american hair.NO DIVERSITY!! Also, once we hit the salon floor, we no longer receive "bookwork" or study/review from our books, (which is not setting us up to PASS the writtten exam for state boards.) This School is a JOKE. and i feel sorry for students comin into this Jungle.
