Empire Motors, Empire Car Star Illegal towing charges New Britain, Connecticut

Empire Motors is illegally charging everyone they tow for the use of dollies and or skates. The towing manager adds miles onto the bill so people are paying upwards of $200.00 for a tow of less than 5 miles. If your towed at night the drivers refuse to call you back when you try to pick up your vehicle then tack on a storage charge. All of these practices are violate Ct. state laws pertaining to non consensual towing.

 This company is horrible and for some reason they are allowed to get away with it. If you do not force a complaint to the DMV they will blatently rip you off! The DMV knows they are doing this and have been doing it for years so why are they still open for business? Noone knows.

Even if they use dollies which most of the time they dont, they cant charge for them it is part of the initial $88.00 charge. This charge also includes 2 free miles so how do you justify an almost $200.00 bill for a 2 mile tow?
