Empire Moving Services Fraudulent, Reckless, and Disrecpectful Company. BEWARE OF THESE THIEFS! ripoff Pembroke Park Florida

I contracted with this company for a moving service from the Philadelphia Suburbs in Pennsylvania to South Florida. A series of serious events occurred with this company.
1. I reserved the moving date 2 months in advance, the driver never showed up the day he was supposed to.
2. I received an initial estimate for $1,700, in several occasions I told the sales representative that I have many things, but he kept ignoring my comments. Finally two days before the move I received a new estimate for $1,900.
3. When the driver showed, one day late, he said that if I didn't pay him $2,500 he won't begin working with the move. I agreed because I was planning an interstate move, and I had to return my apartment one day after the move. In the middle of the afternoon the driver (who I suspect is working illegally in this country) asked me for $500 more of he wouldn't finish the work. I agreed to pay because I needed the move to be completed.
4. The company has serious communications problems. On Monday June 11th 2007 I called the company to confirm the delivery of the goods, someone told me they would be arriving between 9 am and 11 am on Tuesday June 12th 2007. At 9:00 am of 06/12/07 I called the company to confirm the hour, and the same guy who told me the day before that the goods will be arriving that day told me that my delivery was schedule for some day that week and he hanged up the phone. 15 minutes later I received a call from the driver saying that he was in front of my house.
5. This is the worst: All my boxes arrived damage, wet, smashed and destroyed. My leather sofas arrived ripped, cut, and stained with water and rust!!. My king mattress was completely bended, it looked like if they have folded to fit it in the truck. I gave them a piece of furniture in the original box from the store where I bought it, the deliver the furniture out of the box, magically it have disappeared. My bathroom furniture arrived completely broken. The broke the legs of my wall unit.
I have pictures of all this if somebody wants to see the damage they did.
6. I didn't take insurance because the sales representative named Sean told me it wasn't necessary, that he guaranteed that everything will be in perfect condition. Now I have no insurance and to cover what they damage is going to cost me more than $5,000.

The company won't pay apenny to its customers if damage occurrs and the customer didn't get additional insurance.
I urge anybody in need of moving services to AVOID using this company. This is the worst company ever!
