Empire Parking Services Predatory Car Booting Service Atlanta Georgia

I paid for parking in the Steamhouse Lounge lot on 1052 West Peachtree St. I opted for two hour parking (rather than 24 hour parking) which was a $3 charge.  I returned at 3:05PM (on the dot) to exit the lot; to my surprise and dismay I found my car had been booted.



I called the number and a guy showed up to un-boot my car for a $75 fee. I asked why they did not give me a grace period of at least one or two minutes, and the guy had no viable answer other than "..not our policy."

I plan on reporting this to my bank as a fraudulent charge.

It is my belief that the penalty fee should be appropriate to fit the violation. A $75 fine for being one or two minutes late (if that) is excessive to the extreme.  I was not parked in the lot illegally (because I did pay a fee to park there).
