On May 30th 2013 REY from Empire Today came to  my house and gave me a price on a wood floor, he showed me a sample of the product, I told him I did not want a plastic floor, he assured me this floor was wood, it just had a special coating on it, and it could only be sanded one time, it was guaranteed for a lifetime and so was the installation. Rey gave the entire pitch on Empire, how they have the best product, no one can beat there prices or service and there product is made only for empire. I signed up for the floor, my house is 900sq ft. Rey charged me $6,900.00 to remove old carpet and install floor. This was a SPECIAL PRICE, buy one room get on free as opposed to 60% off but I would have to install immediately. I scheduled installation for June 3rd. In the interim I called Home Depot and they came in with a lower price I then notified Rey and he said they could not compare with there product or service Floor was installed on the 3rd.

In July the floor started to bubble and rise, I called the 800-588-2300 number and was told it would take 1-3 days for someone to call me back and make an appointment to come out. I had a problem with that and wanted to talk with some one now to make appt. everyone was busy but they would call in morning, did not happen, had to call again and was told I had to wait 1-3 day for someone to called and make appt, of course that set me off. They would not give me corporate's number, said they did not have one., they only had extensions and could not put me thru. On July 18th Wayne came out to inspect floor, took pictures, measured with ruler, said he would go back to office, show pictures to installers and someone would call to make appt . On July 25th I called the #800 was told it would take 1-3 days for someone to call, I explained situation and they put me thru made appt for August 5th. Installers came out at 8:00 a.m. and asked whats the problem (same guys that installed the floor) I said don"t you have the pictures and instructions from Wayne? They said NO they were only installers, needless to say it got ugly and before they left they called Bob Zeiger, installation manager, he came out August 6th, very nice man took pictures, measured with ruler, identified all problems, told him my story gave him written Quote from Home Depot, same job, better quality product better warranty $4600.A00, Bob said he would take all info back to office and someone would call by August 9th.
August 13th Andrea form Empire called to set up install appt. asked about refund, she would call back. First offer $500 I said not a  match ,she would try for more, second offer $700, the best she could, she then put me thru to her General Manager (creep) He told me what a great deal I got, and he had talked to me about this before, I said WHAT he must be confused, I never spoke to him, Oh and by the way, that wood floor is not wood it is lamanite  and cannot be sanded . It went on and on and he is calling corporate. I told him I was contacting you, He said he knows you. Will you please help? I am a single 64 yr old that has just been ripped off and need HELP.

 Rebekah, isn"t it a shame that it is taking this long and still waiting for a call back from Paul Cotter, he left a message at 4:55pm on 8-15-2013 said he would call on other line, still waiting, I know it takes 1-3 days for a call back and you call that award winning service!
