Encore/Prodigy payments systems is a ripoff to those that sell for them and the business customer. They are not a 24/7 tech support company as stated in sales material. The cost of terminal lease is beyond sane. The lease is with another company out side of Encore/Prodigy.

The customer is stuck for 3 years amounting to thousands of dollars for a $300 machine. Check out COSTCO before signing contracts. The sales people are are victims too. They think they are in a legit business and work hard. But, leads are bogus at best.

Be prepared to get some very dissatisfied customers calling you. You will not be able to look them in the face again. Only work areas you don't have to patronize. This outfit changes its company name to exploit new business. They are equal to the internet business scams seen on TV commercials that change their web site each commercial. Why??

As far as I am concerned, they should be prosecuted by the Feds. Interstate commerce laws are violated. I have reported this group to the state attorney general for investigation. If you have values stay away from this company. If you don't run a Madow scheme. You will make alot more money before your sued.

We strive for complete customer satisfaction in our day-to-day interactions and in our overall customer relationships. We provide services for tens of thousands of relationships every day and although we try, some of our customers are not completely satisfied with every decision.

We are committed, however, to working with our customers and all independent sales representatives to resolve any and all concerns. We cannot, however, address issues that are not brought to our attention. Butch: I have been associated with Encore for over 3 years. Let me answer your complaints in order.
1) Encore is the parent company of Prodigy, it is not an effort to mislead just expand the customer base. If you really belive this is an effort to mislead then you must really hate Yum brands what with all their different brand names.
2) Customer Service is 24/7: In house Tech support is not but the after hours CS can resolve most terminal issues.
3) All leases in this industry are for the most part 4 years.
4) As for leads, they are what you make of them. People like you who think an appointment is a sale kill me. Exert some effort, knock a few doors. I have never seen someone who will cold call every day fail in this business.
5) As for upset merchants, people will complain about something sometimes for no reason other than they have a question you need to answer better.
I can say that in visiting with well over 1000 merchants there has been less than 10 times Encore could not lower their rates, provide better service and show the merchant how to increase their revenue.

I am proud to be associated with Encore and am tired of reading complaints from people who think everything shold be sunshine and puppies tails and merchants are going to be waiting, statement in hand for you to come sign tham up.

This is a business that takes effort and a commitment to learn. If you work hard, knock doors and see 20 people a day I can teach a monkey to do this job.
