i am a captain offshore and have worked hard to get where i am today. I have worked with energy xxi on multiple jobs and have always been satisfactory. A safetly manager who sits in his office herd word of my bumping another vessel intentionally to wake these men up so they could do there work was reported. They are stong arming my smaller company to fire me for these action with caused to harm to anyone. I sent an email to the president and he didnt even have the desentcy to call me. He had one of his adviseres call me. For no reason apparently cause he said he cant change what has happened and its my companies choice to let me go. Well let me tell you something, when you have a multi billion dollar company telling the small guy he will fire the boat if he doesnt fire someone on there that is not the smaller companies choice. With the winter coming work is impossible to find in this feild. So thank you energy xxi for your bank roll will not stop but mines will. I hope you burn in h***.

i attemted to wake this vessel up with radio and air horn for over 20 mins. USCG law states there should be someone on radio watch at all times when outside the colrigs of the gulf of mexico. Which we where. The ripoff is that im losing my job over it when i did everything i could to wake these men up. This company is so large they have no clue except what they are told what happens. They claim its a liability issue. Well your men where on the boat and say nothing when they seen what i was doing. I even asked them what they wanted me to do. They said idk.

It would seem that the company doesn't approve of your "wake up" procedure. I doubt many safety managers would let that slide. It looks to me like they have a low tolerance for your antics in what is already a dangerous environment. Hard to call that a ripoff.
