ON january 13 2014, I had an option of renting a car from any rental company. I decided to go to the place in my hometown. A place near where I purchased 2 car previously.Near nussan and Ford. Someone hit our car and the other person was paying the rental.I thought they were honest folks.I sent my wife to start the paper work since the biggest flaw is that they are very busy all the time.  But they are nearby and convenient. My wife says she gave Owen my DL & CC. An employee who was really busy. WITH 6 OTHERS WAITING.

I HAD 5 PEOPLE AHEAD OF ME. THE 2 MORE WALKIN. WHAT MANAGER TAKES LUNCH AT SUCH  busy place. She waited 45 minutes just to get that going. She also wanted to  walk  over to see the car, it was a Silver Chevy Minivan. She recalls the employee telling her if you want to see the car u have to walk over to the end of isle bc I am very busy. She saw cars that needed repairs, semi trucks, Vans and cars who knew which ones were the rentals and / or from the car dealers for sale. She just didnt take the 20 minimum minute walk.. ...

She looked at the time and had to leave or she would be late to work. She only had 15  get to work. So she never went over. She asked him.Well you will be here when my husband comes to pick up? He said. No I am only here for 1 hour covering the managers lunch!Well he said he would leave a note for simon, the manager. When I arrived I waited too...but I told the simon I was in a hurry bc I was working too and the paperwork was done. When I saw the van it was parked very close to another car.

A car so close he checked the from the passanger seat while I stood on that side.I was dumb enough to tell him my wide usually takes care  of these things so to just give me the keys so I could go.He told me the fuel was an 1/8 from Empty and I was good to go.I'm a skinny guy and the had just enough room to open the door and drive off.  Today, we firmly believe the scratch on the car happened at the car dealership near where it was parked. The employee did his walk thru in 30 seconds. He never gave a copy of the contract either.

When my wife eturned the car simon was there, the place had 3 other people there and the employee said we were responsible for the  damage it was my word against theirs bc we called the office and adviced there was a scratch. Since we learned that the office has multi employees, interns, a manager named troy that is never there..the fact that we called seems meaningless since there no true notation of the call. The horrible management and bad communication seems like the manager simon is pinning a damage that happened on his clock on me.

I now understand why he was pushing me to give him my personal insurance information. Why he parked the car near a car obstructing a proper walk thru. Why the walk thru was 30 seconds. We got a letter from damage claims and we have left 4 messagesand they will not return our calll. My wife spoke with the DM about simon being rude and his public himiliation to her.mrs daneen stood by her employees.  My wife was most upset bc the manager , troy, he was b u ce to tell  simon to returned the 150 deposit assuring her that if we felt  a disagreement we wld have a chance to say our version.

He also admited  that the employee should not of taken 30 seconds for a walk thru and that after speaking with my wife he too wld unclude a statement how that was wrong. He never did it. MOST DISAPPOINTING NO RETURN PHONE CALLS FROM DAMAGE CLAIMS AFTER THE DM and a manager swore we would be heard. So the go behind our back to get our insurance info a put a claim??? This Ripoff Report posting and the steps below I have taken or will take constitute my partial response to this entire matter, including the above mailed letter.

First, information found on the websites of the following federal, state and local government agencies, organizations, corporations, etc., make it very clear that unethical and/or fraudulent business activities by firms operating in the USA carry a wide-range of serious social and legalconsequences.  Further, individuals throughout the country are encouraged by the above agencies/organizations and corporations to officially file complaints against firms discovered to be behaving badly.

Im now very interested as a result in quickly contacting appropriate legal counsel along with the entities below to discuss ways that: 1) my present dispute with Enterprise Rent-A-Car can be swiftly and completely resolved in my favor, along with finding out: 2) if ERACs actions could actually involve fraud on a much wider scale nationwide and, if so, what legal remedies might there be to rectify such wrongdoing (i.e. civil, criminal prosecutions, class-action suits, etc.). Interested legal professionals can feel free to contact me regarding this matter.

His car rental scam webpage can be found at:(((link redacted)))I have already contacted my auto insurance carrier's fraud unit and am actively cooperating with them.

To conclude, it's my professional opinion - and I work in areas involving the detection and prevention/mitigation of very serious criminal activity - that my experience with Enterprise is not an isolated incident that can be merely passed off as insignificant or infrequent.  There is WAY too much smoke here (i.e. numerous similar published reports of Enterprise branches nationwide making false damage claims after renters do not buy ERACs additional insurance coverage, etc.) for there not to be some type of a fire (i.e. some or many Enterprise corporate activities across the USA that are potentially or actually punishable by law in American civil or criminal courts).
