I worked for Berkeley Nutraceuticals (maker of Enzyte, Ogoplex, Avlimil, Prulato, Dromias, Pavaxin, Suvaril, etc...) for over 5 years but finally had to quit...I managed 2 departments for them and made a lot of money but I couldnt sleep at night knowing what they were doing and what they were asking me to do...first of all..ENZYTE DOES NOT WORK!!!...and they know it...they just dont care...none of their products work

they run commercials featuring Smiling Bob and offer a free trial...but there's nothing "free" about it...they want you to give them a credit card so they can charge $4 for shipping...then in 26 days they charge the customer $70 and send them a 2 month supply whether they want it or not...customers can "try" to call customer care at 1-866-834-1715 and cancel but they train their reps to do everything in the world to keep from refunding your money

the company went to trial and the owner was convicted and sent to prison for 25 years for fraud...the company was sold to Chuck Kubicki as of 12-28-08...this guy is even worse...I saw him punch a 20 year old woman in the face for taking his parking spot...he's just another sick millionaire that thinks he can get away with murder...i guess you can when your brother is a judge

the president of the company (Jason Broome) managed to keep his job after the sale of the company...this guy sleeps with a lot of his employees even though his wife (Jen Broome) works for the company as well...we saw her come to work with black eyes and bruises on many occasions...he's an angry, violent man

the vice president (Ron Fricke) is also married but that doesnt stop him from sleeping with the company's accountant (Cheryl Jaeger) as well as other managers (Holley Danner, Liz Edwards, Sue Green, Heather Carter)...they make these women feel as though they have no choice unless they want to quit...they pay their managers above industry standard and these girls cant afford to lose their job so they do what they think they have to do

both of these guys are hooked on cocaine and pain pills, and when they're not beating or cheating on their wives they're all coked up and gambling at the casinos...these are not good people...they're scam artists...they also sell their customers info including name, address, phone number, and credit card/checking account number

I finally had to get out...the money doesnt matter to me anymore...you cant spend it in Hell...they lie to their customers and to their employees...its about making money and nothing else...there are a few natural products out there that work...but Enzyte is not one of them...none of their products come close to living up to the claims that they make...whatever you do, dont order Enzyte

PLEASE TELL AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN AND SHARE THIS STORY WITH ANYONE THAT WILL LISTEN...they rip off a couple million people every year...please help me stop them from doing this to someone that you know

I saw this report years ago but never reponded. I recognized it as the writings of a disgruntal employee who was let go in January. My only question is why would you wait 5 years to quit if in fact you believed the company was operating fradulantly? In my opinion you never believed it was anymore than I did. You simply lost a great job and chose after the fact to complain and try to get your revenge. I have seen a couple people suspect your identity. I personally do not believe this is from Sam or Nick. I know them personally and they would not have written anything negative about me. I personally believe the identity of Whisleblower is an ex manager named Rick. He and only he would be so unprofessional as to try to smear the names of decent woman who would have never slept with Mr. Fricke or anyone else in the company. I too was laid off several months after  Whisleblower, however I do not have anything negative to say about the company. This person obviously was bitter because he lost the best job any employee could have ever had.

I posted a complaint about enzyte over a year ago.Not only does their product NOT WORK, they are crooks. 10 days after receiving that 30 day trial, my account was charged for a full order that I didn't order! Trying to talk to someone on the telephone is damned near impossible. You have to jump through hoops to cancel your order. I never did get my money back! They are running a scamlike most of the internet order scams. Don't believe me? Go ahead and order this worthless product and then try cancelling.

I am currently an employee at Berkeley. I was not going to respond to this posting, but I felt that I needed to speak my mind on the matter, and I do have a vested interest to ensure facts are presented correctly. I will address your posting in order.
ENZYTE DOES NOT WORK!!!
Honestly, some customers do call back and cancel saying it does not work. However, I personally have handled calls from customers saying that it works great and they are ordering more of it. So, to make a blanket statement like that is false as I have heard from customers that disagree with you. At best you can say it doesn't work for SOME people.
they run commercials featuring Smiling Bob and offer a free trial...but there's nothing 'free' about it...they want you to give them a credit card so they can charge $4 for shipping...then in 26 days they charge the customer $70 and send them a 2 month supply whether they want it or not...customers can 'try' to call Customer Care at 1-866-834-1715 and cancel but they train their reps to do everything in the world to keep from refunding your money
True, we do run commercials with a character named Smiling Bob. True, we do ask that customers pay shipping for the trial. True, we do a majority of those sales with a credit card. True, in order to receive the trail they do agree to be on an auto-ship plan currently referred to as HDP (Home Delivery plan). We do auto-ship a 2 month supply to the customer. However, they are provided the Care number if they would like to cancel. True, customers can call the number you listed to reach customer care. If you are implying that they cannot get through by using the word try, then you are mistaken. Care is open M-F and adheres to the services levels required by past settlements and guidelines set by various Attorney Generals when we were experiencing legal trouble in the past. True, the reps do try to retain the customer. As do almost all companies with retention departments. They try to keep the customer with discounted products. If that fails, the customers' shipments are canceled and they are given a confirmation number. You would experience this if you have tried to cancel your cable service, or even newspaper delivery. This is normal business pratice.

True. The owner of the company was sentenced to 25 years for fraud. Others involved in the case were also sentence for terms of approximately 1 year for providing testimony in his case. If the original poster is who we believe, those sentenced include members of the poster's family. As for the rest, I cannot vouch for its validity, but does sound outlandish.
As for the next three sections, I will not even copy it. Rather they are true or not it does not matter. They are not relevant to the company and the nature of this site as a guardian for consumers. Using actual employee names and then hiding behind a bogus id is cowardly. It doesn't matter if you like the company or not, you are slandering decent people and causing public embarrassment for them with these statements. It is hurtful and surely should be used as a judgment upon your character. If you are who we think you are, let's not forget about the number of agents that you made leave the company because you started relationships with agents that reported directly to you. I can vouch for that because I know that to be fact.

This part is interesting because it serves the true nature of your posting. Since it is very obvious who this person is, I can shed light on his motives. This individual was a member of the Berkeley management team. He bounced around mainly in our outbound department. He was more or less hired to the company because he was family. He did what he wanted and was still able to keep his position. He dated several agents that reported to him. When things ended the women felt they had to leave rather than work with him any longer. His performance in his position was marginal. He was a buddy type of manager. Great buddies with his people but not too much on performance. When Berkeley went to court, members of his family provided evidence and got plea deals for providing testimony against our owner Steve Warshak. That caused bad blood within the family.
Last year Berkeley filed for bankruptcy and went up for auction. The winner of the auction was Mr. Kubicki. At or about 12/28/08. Ownership of the company was transferred. To close the books on the old company, everyone was termed. They informed us in advance that this was going to happen. They also stated that not everyone would be staying with the company. We were prepared for this. This individual along with others were not invited to remain with the company. It seemed that a major of them were additional members of Steve Warshak's family and those indirectly related to him. This would include the poster by marriage I think. This makes sense if I was the new owner, I would want to close the books on the old company altogether and start fresh.
Now while the poster worked at Berkeley he always said he would start his own company and drive Berkeley into the ground. Rumor has it that he has grouped some of those that were termed and started his own company possibly selling a product similar to Enzyte. It is funny that about a month or so after that rumor circulates the floor; this posting surfaces and comes about a week after they were released from the company.
It just seems that he is using this site to hurt people and using it to damage the reputation of his former employer. Berkeley did have legal troubles. We paid our fines, we changed our processes according to government provided guidelines, we fired people, and people are serving time in prison. The company has moved on..the poster should as well and seek their own fortune minus stepping on the back of Berkeley.

Your report is not reliable. No one in their right mind would include full names in reference to personal sexual activity or domestic violence. Unprovable claims and unsupportable. I actually did research via court clerk websites to see if any of this could be substantiated due to the nature of the personal allegations. There is no documentation.

A report like this including non pertinent information is just inflammatory information. Nothing else. Tabloid like information does nothing to serve the actual purpose of the report, which is supposed to be about a business and the way that business does business. The Enzyte Whistle Blower report does not in actuality serve the public. It seems to be more revenge/disgruntled employee type thing. And it's a shame. Because the claims that are valid, as an ex employee myself, are buried under unsubstantiated and unverifiable information.

The only information that is relative from this post is as follows, copied and pasted from the Whistle Blower's report. And even some of it is not accurate.

My story is as follows:
I worked in Compliance. We listened to Sales Agent calls. All calls are recorded.
The company does offer a free trial. The product is 49.95 retail, and the customer gets that free. Customer pays 4.00 Shipping and Handling with a credit card, and is informed the 30 day trial comes with enrollment in the Home Delivery Plan for future savings and benefits. A refill is scheduled, and the customer is given that date during the call.

They are informed they may cancel future shipments at any time by calling customer care. There is also a 60 day return policy, where a customer may arrange for a credit, less shipping and handling for any unopened product that is returned within 60 days of the ordering date. Customer care hours, days and number are given. Shipments are sent out 26 days after the trial is sent so that customers do not run out of product. This way ensures they receive the product within 5-7 business days, making it hopefully before the 30 day supply runs out. They are told they will be sent a new 60 day cycle every other month, and billed 69.90 for each product to the same credit card account they are using today.

The reason I left the company is that I had some ethics concerns myself. Sales reps would flub the return policy all during the call. But as long as the return disclosure was read in full verbatim during that call, even though after that 30 second disclosure was nothing compared to 12-15 minutes of misinformation..we were not to mark the account for incorrect information. I had a problem with that.

Same goes for the home delivery plan misinformation..covered by reading the home delivery plan disclosure verbatim during the call. I don't think those things should pass muster. I think no misinformation should be allowed. I think all sales calls should be correct in ALL the information they give throughout the call.

In my mind, it happened or it didn't, it was said or it wasn't, and those calls should be marked accordingly. Sales force who manipulate the return policy or home delivery plan, knowing reading disclosures ensures their jobs..well, they shouldn't be selling.

Lastly, if someone called about the 30 day free trial, and the Sales Rep messed up the call 60 ways to Sunday, BUT the customer ended up going with a package deal to save more money..we had to go back and take out every mistake or outright lie the Sales Rep told about the trial package, that we had documented while reviewing the call. How the company would then be aware of Sales mistakes for effective coaching or dicipline or legality, or how they would then be aware as to whether Compliance Agents were catching these mistakes is just beyond me. It makes no sense. I think for veracity and to ensure the new owners and customers that the company is exerting every effort to be honest would mean the opposit.
Catch every mistake, document it, coach it and correct it. Period. Otherwise I see nothing but future problems, and constant need to ask questions..meaning less actual work gets done and less customers are served.

The only thing that was by the book, no exceptions, was the description of the trial product had to be complete at the first mention by the sales person. That's it.

I do not know how Customer Care handles return requests. I did not review those calls, and I only worked for Berkeley (Now Pristine Bay with another name change in the works) for just over a month. But, it was enough to have me worrying at night about customers who were given misinformation, customers that I knew were confused or went by the majority of information given during the call...which was misinformation. I think those speedily read return disclosures and home delivery plan disclosures don't negate that.

The policy of the company is 'do it this way or your terminated.' Can't tell you how many times I heard that phrase before I even got my W2 filled out, lol. There are no sick days. There are no personal days, and no health insurance unless you are a salaried employee. Though the rumor is health insurance is being reviewed for the hourly employees as to cost, ect. Perhaps that will become available. Right now renovation is going on at the Waycross location, to make it a nicer place to work. But I think the hourly employees would enjoy more having health care, a few sick days and a couple personal days per year.
The turnover rate is very high. It's just an hourly wage. No more, no less, in a rather punitive environment. The atmosphere was not one of encouragement but rather 'if you don't like it, tough.'

In these days when jobs are tough to find, sometimes you have to take a job like that in order to eat. But I'd rather be able to sleep, and that's why I left the company after such a short period of time. The policies did not match my conscience.

Lastly, there were many Sales Reps who went by the book, gave no misinformation, and are honest in every sales call. I don't want to leave the impression that there are not.

If anyone from Pristine Bay aka Berkeley in management reads this, I would like to offer a suggestion. Get some call maps made and have legal review them. Coach the sales reps one team at a time on the call maps. Then have 'em go by the call maps, period. It would insure uniformity, keep the place out of any possible trouble, lessen returns and problems, and make it easier for calls to be reviewed and performance to be assessed. It would take some time to put the call maps together but if done in the right way, going step by step, with rebuttals where appropriate, it would do amazing things for the company and its reputation. After all, Pristine Bay is fighting the ghost of Berkeley. Call maps would be a huge asset.

If this doesn't sound like a disgruntled employee, then I don't know what does! Sam, Sam, Sam.... or Nick.. or whichever Cossman this report is from, move on with your life and stop making up rumors! You know nothing about anyone else's affairs or drug use other than your own! And someone of Kubicki's stature actually struck a woman in front of employees? Riiiiight!!! Half of the Cossman family is either in jail or addicted to coke and/or heroin, so you people have no credibility whatsoever. Get a life.
