We are two more people who have been scammed into ePenzio and Pacific Webworks, Monterey Financial, Bridgeview Bank & Trust, and penzPay--don't think that I left anyone out here. We originally attended a National Grants Conference here in Greenville, SC on April 27, 2002: didn't sign up for this but got involved with ePenzio as it seemed like a great way to make money at the time.
Well, all of here on this site know how making money building your own website worked with ePenzio: it didn't! It wasn't easy as those big wigs said ("just a matter of a few hours to build") nor could we get it to work even after setting it up with the web tutorial.
Tried to get this person or that person with uCart (people with the so-called-products to sell) or ePenzio to help us out and of course, we got the run around and no help at all. Tried contacting them by phone and e-mail.
An ePenzio man called Chad (wonder if he used his real name?) called us up after signing up 2 weeks later and wanted us to get more credit cards so that we could get involved with Datek (deals in stock and I guess that ePenzio gets some sort of cut from them). Chad was VERY pushy and after we told him that our credit wasn't so good and new cards were just not possible, we were able to get rid of him off the phone. Later, we looked up Datek on the net to see if there were any complaints about them & boy, did we get a read full! Thank goodness we had the sense not to involve ourselves with this...
After a few months when we realized that no website was going to work, we decided to cancel. We e-mailed Pacific Webworks and one letter plus one phone call later from a representative we got out of that one. For Bridgeview Bank & Trust, I called them up & was told to send them a fax & so, cancelled them as well. Penzpay I did over the net via e-mail. Cancelling 3 out of 4 isn't bad, but the main one is ePenzio (have to send them money via Monterey Financial Services each month).
Does anyone out there have any ideas on how to get rid of ePenzio/Monterey Financial Services? They don't take money out of our checking acct. nor credit card; we've to send them a check for $99.95 each month.
Also would like to hear from anyone who was at the morning meeting for the National Grants Conference on April 27, 2002 in Greenville, SC.
fighting the good fight....
