On 1/08/2008 I contacted several moderators and administrator of Blackhairmedia.com (BHM) in regards to a thread that was posted about our internet based company and about me (owner) in general. I requested that the threads be deleted or at most, the threads containing remarks of defamation/slander/ threat of physical harm be removed. I was not responded to at all and later my username/account had been deleted as well as any reply/thread I have ever posted.

The thread in question was started by a Senior Member of the forum who also works for the company as a advertising sales rep. The thread accused my company of stealing from several members on blackhairmedia.com (BHM) which in fact caused other members to post and threaten physical harm to me and my staff, it caused members to think our company was scamming people out of their hard earned money and has had a negative impact on my company to date (11/2008).

As of today, members or lurkers of the site will ask a question about my company and members with leave negative and defamatory responses without any proof or evidence. The statements will insinuate that our company will steal or scam potential customers our of their money, will send them a product that isn't what they ordered or not to their expectations, ect.

The members that are leaving these comments have never purchased from our company, have no experience with my company at all and are making false accusations according to a thread started by employee of the company that has never had any experience with our company as well.

These links/threads continue to be displayed for the world to see potential customers will post comments stating " I was going to purchase from said company but I won't now". This is of course hurting our business and reputation. The moderators and administrator could care less and have ignored my repeated request for a resolution.

Several members on this site are allowed to break forum rules without any consequences. This of course is not true for all. It just depends on which "click" or popular crowd you fall in. The ladies on this forum have threaten physical harm to me/my staff/company over and over again and it has allowed to go on long enough. One opinion is just that. But allowing one to post an opinion that can cause harm to me, my staff, my business is outrageous and needs to stop!

"You see, in our community, we discuss our opinions and experiences with each other. Whether it be good or bad, we express our opinion. Like a certain hair product. A lot of us may praise it, but there will always be some who did not receive good results from the product. Each member speaks for themselves, so if your company is being "slandered" by Black Hair Media, then your company is doing something very gravely wrong. We have no reason to attack and slander your company unless your company has done something wrong and given our members a bad experience. "

The only thing gravely wrong is your statement above.  See that is just it.  No BHM member (as of that writing), had any right to state anything about my company because none of them had experienced my company.  NOT ONE MEMBER could honestly say anything good or bad about my company because they were never a customer, never purchased our product, or could even state they knew of something that purchased from us.

First, when I first wrote this report was almost 2 years ago and I don't know if you were a member then or even an "active member" in the weaves section but this is all started over a bhm who seen an add on craigslist and contacted my company to order the hair.  The member stated that she didn't receive the hair and that we stole her money.  After a 50+ page thread of threats (YES BHM MEMBERS THREATENED ME AND MY STAFF), accusations and assumptions it actually turned out to be postal issue.  A simple postal issue.

"As for our "sales advertising rep" starting threads slandering you, that is impossible.
BHM does not sell anything, nor do we have any sales representatives. And I HIGHLY doubt members were threatening to physically harm you and your staff because the forum consists of a more mature age group and making threats over the internet is plain childish, as I am sure you know."

Wow, now are you sure you are from BHM?  Clearly you are unaware that BHM does "sell products."  How in the world do you think they are able to exist.  You know all those advertisements you see on the forum, do you think Russle just let's anyone advertise?  No!  He sells advertising space on his forum, and it's not cheap either.  Why do you think you ladies will get banned if you speak negatively about a "sponsor."  Oh yes, that is how they word it... sponsors, lol.  Yes, Ameshia (BlackEsq) is or was a sales rep and she is the one who started  and very childishly fueled the thread I mentioned above.

Some of your comments seem to show that you are familiar with BHM, so I feel as if you are almost scorned in a way (I do not mean to offend.) The threads in question were most likely deleted simply because of freedom of speech and opinion. If a large number of members spoke negatively about you and your company, then obviously your company has something to provoke it; We certainly do not lash out and attack random companies for absolutely no reason.

I read this quote from a fellow member explaining why you were "slandered."

"Nah, there were people who always said she was a troll or alias.

Somebody busted her switching screen names once. Can't remember who it was . She said one thing in one screen name and came back and continued the conversation with another name."

I do not believe you are a troll, but you definitely came to the site as a rep and on BHM, reps are not taken too kindly for the simple fact that we are not hearing honest opinions and only gimmicks to earn the seller more money. So to conclude, it was never a personal thing against you, but BHM and many other forums on the internet do not like seeing false conversations promoting a product instead of receiving true and honest opinions.

Thank you for reading, and I hope your company troubles work out.
-A fellow BHM member

Oh yes, I am familiar.  I am an active member to this day.  If I can response with insight or advice I will.  But I choose to stay out of the drama filled threads which is largely why most of the "vets" are no longer participating to this day.  And no the threads haven't been deleted.  It seems you did a search but managed to left out a few:

Original post that started it all:
http://forum.blackhairmedia.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=110144&KW=contagious

Now these are direct results of the above post: http://forum.blackhairmedia.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=89804&PN=129

http://forum.blackhairmedia.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=159947

http://forum.blackhairmedia.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=162755&KW=contagious

How can you say I came to the site as a rep?  The only place that I even mention my company or products is in the lace wig section which by the way, NONE OF THOSE LADIES ever had a problem with my company or any issue of stealing.  I don't push my company on any forum because there is no need to do that.  My posts, if any are in response to a question or comment and nothing about my company.  As a matter of fact, the only mention of my company is my user name
.

Listen I appreciate your loyalty but honestly sweetie, either this incident was way before your time or you clearly have no idea what you are talking about.

BHM is not a forum of liars or slander.

I am a member of BlackHairMedia and to speak on their behalf, I feel this report is slightly off.

You see, in our community, we discuss our opinions and experiences with each other. Whether it be good or bad, we express our opinion. Like a certain hair product. A lot of us may praise it, but there will always be some who did not receive good results from the product. Each member speaks for themselves, so if your company is being "slandered" by Black Hair Media, then your company is doing something very gravely wrong.

Perhaps the members simply are not satisfied with your product or service. You should not take it personally, make it drive you and your company to do better. But to call a red flag on unsatisfied customers is simply unnecessary.
