Equitrust First Financial Phone number no longer valid when I called. Atlanta Georgia

I got a call on my husband's behalf for a loan. We were approved for a loan for $10,000. That made us excited. I kept in contact with the gentleman by the name of Thomas Mitchell. I spoke with him and told him I didn't have the money to secure the loan right now, but if he could extend it I would be able to get it for him. He said that's fine, not a problem and he could extend it. I also informed him that I would call him when I was ready so he could give me the information to send the collateral of $1598, seeing I had to send it through Express Transcripts and part of Moneygram.

I tried to call the company and the response was from an automated system saying, "Your Universal Office Account has been temporarily on hold, please call customer service." There was no number given for customer service, nothing. I am very pleased that I didn't send the money. I tried to find a nother phone number for the company and surfed the net for it and came upon this site. Thank God I did. I will stop looking for the number because I refuse to be ripped off.

The bad thing is that they now have my husband ss number and things. Are they a legit company or are they trying to steal people's ID's. I am still worried about the whole thing. Please anyone who is looking into getting a loan from them, DON'T. Not unless you feel like just handing everything over to a perfect stranger.
