Equivest Funding Gold Link Jewelry Distributions took money and ran... Kettering Ohio

 Found this company on a web search for peer-to-peer lending.. at the time Prosper was not allowed to lend in our state so I contacted  Equivest and spoke with a man named Larry who explained it all and we talked in legnth about what I was looking for be it a personal or business funding... I told him my annual income and my credit scores which were not the highest.. he explained to me it didn't matter and sent me an application and all other info by email... I was told it would cost 45 dollars to join and then must decide if I wanted a personal loan or business and I told him personal loan for 5000 dollars and would need to send by pay pal both the 45 memebership and the 250 dollars for funding...

After all the funds were sent and all paperwork returned to him within a week he notified me by e=mail that they had a potential backer... 2 days later  I got a question from him stating the backer didn't think I paid taxes on my day care business... I faxed him my return to share with the backer... few more days passed and he comes back with this... I didin't make enough money to be considered... even though this would be the only bill I had to pay a month... for a few days I cold get a response from him then finally nothing....

in may of 2012  had to relocate and when I got all settled tried to cal him several times to give him new address and e-mail address plus new phone... faxed the info to him too... never ever got any reply from him finally in october 2012 filed a complaint with the Iowa state attorney generals' office  who got them to speak with his office and they did get a verbal that they would refund my 295.00 but as of yet nothing...  

I don't think this company could get a dime for a bum if you asked me... they are total scammers and I just want my 295.00 dollars returned asap...
