I was helping my parents relocate to the Henderson, NV area and needed a Realtor.  I am a licensed Realtor in another state and chose to call one of our offices in the area and give a referral to a professional that would help my parents find a home.  We agreed to the standard referral fee of 25% of the commission paid for the deal.

When I contacted the Keller williams office they out me in touch with Ernie and his wife.  They appeared to be super helpful and accepted the deal.  After the closing of the home Ernie told my father that the referral money was set aside and as soon as I sent over the tax documentaton he would send a check.

Well months later after sending the information he needed his wife said she would sign the paper and send the check but this never happened.  I contacted the broker and he would not return my call and told me to go "F" myself.

So at this point I have to go through a long painful process of filing complaints with the board of realtors and go through arbitration.  

If this company and indiciduals will rip off another Realtor then imagine what they would do to a consumer that has no idea of what the laws are.  

Its wrong and with his ethics, he should not be allowed to represent the public.

I have family there that have built the largest food bank in the state.  They dedicate 70 plus hours a week with no compensation to just feed people.  They are part of an amazing church.  We could have given the business to someone who deserves the business.
