ESBI, My Voicemail Netwok, Eversave.com The company starting charging my home phone bill for voicemail services that I didn't ask for. San Diego California

I noticed on my Qwest phone bill that there were some misc. charges for $12.95. The charges were listed as a voicemail monthly fee. I called my phone company to ask them what the charges were for. The told me that a third party was charging me for a voicemail service. They couldn't help me cancel the charges. They said that I had to call the number on the phone bill and get the charges stopped. The company on the bill is called ESBI. I called for two day and I always got an answering machine.

Finally, when I got a person on the phone she was very rude. She told me that I signed up for the service through a web site called www.eversave. com. I told her that I signed up for grocery coupons and she said no you signed up for the voicemail service. I told her that I wanted the charges stopped. She was very angry with me and rude and said that the charges were canceled, but I was responsible for any previous charges. She said if I didn't pay them I would be turned into a collection agency.

I am frustrated because I fell that this is a scam. Eversave gets your information and then they give it to companies to use. They were able to attach these charges to my phone bill because my home phone is my account number. It isn't right that compainies can do this. It has caused me a lot of stress. I still am having a hard time trusting that the matter is cleared up. I won't know for sure until I receive my next phone bill. I wanted to cancel my voicemail service and account number on my phone and Qwest couldn't guarantee that this would solve the problem.
