This company is very deceiving!!!! Beware!!!! ***They are NOT your merchant company***

Britney Newby called, claiming she's from our merchant company, called merchant services. That's not even the name of our merchant company--obviously a scam/telemarketing. Gave a "merchant account #" which is also false, not matching any of our merchant numbers. Phone# she gave me to call back was 480-719-4421

When I called the # back, I did so by blocking my # first with *67.

Ms. Newby never answered her phone, so I dialed for the operator, some guy named Nick answered. I asked him to provide the legal name of their business, because it is impossible for them to be called just

"Merchant Services" and must provide me a legal business name. He refused and said the only way for him to disclose any information to me is if I provide my merchant # so he can pull my file. I wasn't born yesterday!!! But these guys are deceiving people by claiming to be who you work with, but they're really just a telemarketing scam! ***Do NOT Provide Any Personal Information To Them***

This Nick guy wouldn't let me speak either--just kept talking over me and wouldn't answer any questions--even after I said I wouldn't give any of my info until he stated the legal name of the business they called me from and the true reason for their call. He still declined to give me that info--so I explained to him that I do not give my info to telemarketers and this would be reported online.

Do NOT trust these people or this company!

Through some research on google, I found out the company name is Eschelon in Arizona (eschelonms.com)

When I called their customer service, the young girl who claimed to be a "manager" didn't care to hear how the sales department is deceiving potential clients--she just kept saying she would disconnect the call if I did not provide her my information. That is hilarious!!! What a dead giveaway for a scam. I tried to tell her how Nick wouldn't provide the company name, so why would I trust them to provide my company name or number? Give me a break here! Why in the world would I give you my info if you can't even tell me your company name?! This is going to be posted all over the internet. Guess it's time to change that company name yet again! Good luck folks!

Do NOT give your information to anyone who calls you stating they are from "Merchant Services"

Merchant services

AUTHOR: Joe - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 12, 2013

I received a call from Eschelon stating that they were a merchant service. The tele marketers were a little pushy but when the agent came and explained what they could do for us, I was shocked at the savings. I really did not think they could do what they said but they put it in writing and so far it has been great. Not sure what happened to the guy above but asking for a time and date to meet to go over your rates and statements didn't seem like a scam to me.they didn't ask for personal info until I signed with them just like every other merchant service that I've ever dealt with. I've been screwed by other merchant services but so far I have seen the savings and I am loving it.
