eTags.com FRAUDULENT ONLINE VEHICLE RENEWAL COMPANY EXPOSED Internet

This company claims to be affiliated with the DMV, they are not. I discovered this website serchhing google for the online payment option to renew my verhicle registration. It is the very first website google directs you to google actually does not have the correct web page listed at all! On the first page of web results when you apply "RENEW REGISTRATION ONLINE" to googles serch engine several companies appear i'm sure they all will claim affiliation with the DMV.

To make a long story short, only after doing my due dilligance did I find out that this company has absolutly no affiliation with the DMV. Wich reads in the fine print on the website also on the confirmation email they send after obtaining your information they claim the process will take 24hours to complete and you will be notified by email when it is complete after notification you can expect to see your renewal in the mail soon after. 

After speaking with the agent from this company I knew something was not right, so I called my local drivers liscence office to inquire about the website being affilliated with there offices. The operater provided me the real web info immidiatly after recieving the correct info I called the bank and canceled my card info. I will be recieving a new debit card in 7-10 business days. The operator informed me that no charges were pending on my account for the company and I made sure none would.

I am 28 years old very computer savy and a stay home mother of 4 one new bourn. The fact that this is actually an issue is profoundly disturbing. I don't understand how a company can legally pass itself off as being goverment offiliated in any way shape or form with every intintion to rob individuals everyday. Google is most deffinatly no longer a trusted source of info for me. They actually list the company as 5 star. My heart hurts for the sick and shut in who depend on online services daily and expect them to be authentic and helpfull, hopefully I could shined some light on this subject and in speaking with the operator from the DMV I also submitted a formal complaint against this company I hope they a brought to justice as the fraudes they are.
