Ethan Allen Buyers Beware! Ethan Allen does not stand behind their products Boca Raton Florida

To whom it may concern:

I purchased a sofa recently from Ethan Allen in Boca Raton, Florida, which I paid over $3,000.00 for. It was delivered after Christmas 2002. Through delivery, it was torn in two places upon examination of said sofa. I noticed the welting pieced, the skirt stretched so that it was wavey, not smooth, as were the back pillows. I paid in excess of $300.00 for fringe for the 5 loose pillows, which were uneven and had loose strands.

The workmanship is deplorable. I called the store and two women came out and took pictures. I received a call two weeks later, after I had left another message, that they would send someone to repair said sofa, but he only can come out on Mondays. I work, so I did not want to take time off so they said he would come at 6:30 AM. I have never heard from them again, so I called the corporate office. They finally called me back from the Boca store, but told me the repairman could not come out until the end of February. I want this sofa REPLACED, not repaired, but they refuse.

You advertise your decorating service. I thought I was getting a qualified decorator. Not so, I was given two choices of fabric to enhance my existing color scheme. The fabric did that, however, the experienced decorator never took into consideration that I have hardwood floors and very little natural light. A qualified decorator would have realized that this fabric would not enhance the room. The toss pillows did little to brighten up the full fabric. The whole experience has been a disaster. I feel I have NO recourse! I bought it, I paid for it I own it! Ethan Allan will only patch it up. BEWARE!!! I went with my neighbor to City Furniture and she purchased two love seat, wing chair, ottoman all for under $1,500! I looked at the workmanship on her furniture and it sure beats Ethan Allen!! What does this tell you?

Please give this your immediate attention as it has been almost two months with no answers.
