My husband severed his achilles tendon and because we live only a few minutes from this hospital that is where I took him. He was in extreme pain on the verge of going into shock. The ER treatment room we were placed in was filthy!
There were blood soiled gause pads in open containers. After the ER doc prescribed an injection to control his pain, the fat lazy b***h nurses sat in the satation for 45 minutes yapping with each other and only after I demanded that they do their job did he get his shot. (By the way we had insurance so that wasn't the problem and there was only one other patient in the ER at the time and she did not have a serious situation).
The doctor ordered a second pain injection and the nurse told us she did not know anything about it. She was soooo hateful and nasty I told her to try reading the Chart, send someone else and not come back into treat my husband.
I was on the JACO inspection team or a number of years and I have never seen such a crappy ER. If you EVER are visiting this wonderful community and have an emergency, go to Carroll County Regional 15 miles away or Eureka Springs Animal hospital. Believe me ESAH is a hell of a lot cleaner and has a better educated staff
