 Obtained high repayment business loan from Fast Business Funding which was changed over to Everest Business Funding. Daily withdrawals always taken from account with no missed payment until family had personal tragedy - family member murdered by husband leaving 5 children with no parents. Main business account where money was withdrawn got messud up; requested they change withdrawals to different account which they would not do.

Finally got slowly back on track but numerous payments retuirned.

Counted all daily withdrawals - deducted payments returned and realized account paid in full. Asked my bank to not allow any further payments from Everest in fall of 2015.. turns out I missed one  449.10 payment.

Through many E-mails trie to rectify situation; came to agreement if missing payment was sent account could be considered paid. Supposed to be done by end of November 2015 but my husband hospitalized with pneumonia & tb indicators.

Unfortunately, our office in old building in rural town: lost telephone service and computer access & then computer crashed after lines repaired. Had no further calls or E-mail access with Everest through no fault of our business.

Got telephone message today from private investigator representing Recovery Services in Illinois. He is coming to inspect our personal home for tangible assets he can seize for their money. Spoke with a Mr. Slater who represents Everest who now wants $ 10,000 because of UCC we broke contract by requesting bank not allow any further deductions and breach of signed contract re: payments.

We borrowed $ 30,000 and paid them back twice the money which we agreed to do and did but made a 449.10 error.

We were desperate for money for working capital and I now know this is just another preditory firm preying on desperate consumers. But now to go from owing 449.10 to $ 10,000.00 is over the top. Told their represetative Mr. Slater the most I could afford to pay was $ 2,500.00.. not acceptable to him.

Don't know where to turn next.. do I have to hire an attorney which I can't afford. I would very much appreciate and welcome any suggestions anybody has for me.
