Everest College started out as a good idea, but then you get to the end of your course and its a JOKE, some students have yet to find an extership they offer help and say they will find you one then they tell you to look for yourself, fine then they bring in a new instructor who says that everything you have learned was wrong and its his way or no way. Mr. Kelly treats you like a child and talks about you to other students that is very unprofessional, we are suppose to graduate in 3 weeks but he says we are not ready, we learned from doctors and he is just a medical assistant, When the complaint was brought to the dean nothing was done the Department head refuses to listen and makes excuses for the behavior of this waht is suppose to be grown man, he told us that for days missed we HAVE to make them up of he will fail us, I have a lige outside of this school I have kids and I work so if I dont stay I will fail or loose my job if I do stay my kids are more important to me.

Former Student

AUTHOR: Former Everest student - (United States of America)

Hello, I am not giving my name as I am currently part of a law suite against everest college bk in 2009 that a Dallas lawyer is working on!!!! Everest will end up paying tons of money to students, do they not know that telling lie's don't pay off. As they are going to be paying tons of money out as I see there are more and more law suites coming about!!!!

I do not blame anyone for not wanting to deal with everest, but its true that everest will change  instructors  in the middle of a class. Now how fair is this to the students, and to come find out they are not even good instructors. They are ones working in that field they are not certified teachers. That is completely wrong for everest to have non certified instructors!!!

Matter of fact, i went to everest in Arlington and there we were in the 6flags mall. Even had classes down in the mall in an empty old store, that had mold, roaches, bugs and mice running across your feet. How in the heck can students learn with that going on!! Also they had numerous different president, deans, assistant deans, chair people for the different programs! They had numerous of people in and out of the career services to help places you into a position as they say!!! Every time u walk in to financial aid office or past the Admin Reps you couldn't help notice that there was all new faces!!!

In reality everest colleges don't care about nothing but MONEY!!!!!! As long as they get the MONEY then they don't care what happens to the students!!! They don't care if a student got absolutely nothing out of the class because the instructors were very unqualified to teach a class. They wanted to just complain about their bosses to the class. Or if they got hungry then one instructor was like lets go to breakfast. And yet we learned nothing from that instructor!!!

There are many times I went to the president and voiced my concerns and he just acted like he didn't care!!! When I told him I did not get anything out of a class for one reason or another, then he told me I could retake it but i would have to pay for it out of pocket.

Plain and simple EVEREST is not the college to go to, as your credits will not transfer, and I graduated back in 2007. I am still not working in my field, as when prospective employers see where I graduate they just laugh me out of their office. How embarrassing is that, all because of the college I went to. As I sit here I am now working, but working for only minimum wage at a gas station. So if you want to waste your time and money, and end up working for minimum wage as a college graduate then by all means attend everest college. If not then do not give them even a first thought, let alone a second one.

Everest college, needs to have a sign out front of their school that says CONSUMERS BEWARE!!!!!!

Kelly..Marioni??? Everest will pay

AUTHOR: April - (United States of America)

Mr.Kelly...hmmmm Marioni?????????I do believe you are the one wo was fired from your last job for harrassment and have had several students at Everest say the same. You are rude and very unprofessional and I can not believe that Everest still pays you, that just tells you what a great school it is...HA!! Even though the student recanted, she is a friend of mine and we know the truth, besides from what I understand it is against school policy to get one of your students externship at the same place you the instructer is working. I really hope that Everest takes it upon themselves to give out more info these people love to talk about students in the hallways and are not paying attention who is listening.

#4 Consumer Suggestion

I have a suggestion

AUTHOR: Everest Victim - (United States of America)

I read your issue with Everest College and I had a very similar issue. I went to the Everest College in Arlington, TX. They fabricate information such as: the school's recognition, job placement rates, and the ability to transfer credits. The school is not recognized at all. The degree is literally a worthless piece of paper. Other students and myself are in the middle of a lawsuit with the company right now. If you are interested, contact my lawyer at 214-871-7877. His name is Brian Sherman; just tell him David Bozeman recommended him.

Yeah Right Mr.Kelly(must be joking)

AUTHOR: Monique - (United States of America)

Mr. Kelly maybe you should have done a spell check on your reply. From reading your posrt I gather that you also must not be well educated. Simple words! I have had a terrible experience with Everest and plan to knock anyone that says otherwise. How can anyone have a positive experience when the degree is a joke!

#6 UPDATE EX-employee responds

This complaint is not quite accurate

AUTHOR: Mr Kelly - (U.S.A.)

In response to the poster, I can only say that I'm sorry of you feel your learning experiance wasnt up to your expectations.

I understand that students have lives outside of the school, but if you are not present in class, how exactly does one expect to succeed in passing.

I personally have no knowledge of the events you speak of, especially those concerning belittling another instructor.

As for indicating a student (you in this case) not being ready to graduate, I would expect you to want to be sure of your skills prior to going out into a medical center and finding out there. The truth is not always pleasant to hear, and if not properly prepared...a person can be dangerous in this field.

As you pointed out, I am a medical assistant, graduate of a simular school in Calif. but I am also much more. I have had over 20 years of experiance in this arena. From the age of 17 when i first joind the navy as a Hospital Corpman...to becoming an instructor "years later".

What many students do not realise is that most of the work you do in and around a office is done by us lowly Medical Assistants. Vital Signs, Blood Work, Lab Reqs, Charting, Patient Education, Immunizations, Pulmonary Function Testing, Stress Tests, Minor Surgical Assistance...the list goes on and on....much of which a MD would have no clue how to do.

Both MDs and MAs have their role in your education, and it is a stretch to expect them to hold hands and force feed students material who can't or won't devote the time needed to help themselves, like studying and reading the assigned chapters.

I'm sure many students would have preferred a pat on the head, told that they are doing a good job, and sent out into the medical world having no clue...for short term satifaction...

...but...there are just as many willing to put in the work and time and actually earn the grades they recieve...and those are the ones that get hired during their externships...and feel the process was well worth it.

Once again...I apologise if your experiance wasnt the latter.
