 The student handbook is vague and under the staffs discretion meaning the policy can be amending or changed without notice or to fit the current situation. My issue with this approach is that I am 3 weeks from graduating and a staff member decided to calculate anytime I was "late" or left early. As a result I have "missed" 8 days and am now being dropped from the program for missing more than 2 days.Initially It was stated that as long as we are physically there for atleast 2 hours,you will be counted for the day now under his discretion the policy was changed 11 weeks into extern to accommodate a staff member who left work early its was then changed to if you are not there by 6:45 you will not be allowed to stay which contradicts the 2 hour policy. I was kicked out of school. The same thing was did to another student and she has missed 5 days based on the amount of hours which was translated to days and was allowed to continue after being told she was dropped because she walked away while the instructor was talking.

 

At this point I feel like I am being discriminated against because of my military back ground in my opinion. No one at the school is helping us with these issues. We have been lied to and now have no proof of the conversations its just 3 peoples word against one educator and I do not feel like I am being treated fair. In addition to all of this I was being reported as not present for 10 days when I was in fact at school, as a result I am in debt with the VA for fraud. The only proof I have to show I was in school is weekly time sheets that they did not submit, on Friday they collect them and give us copies.

This is in my opinion an unprofessional establishment I have been told to sit in a room and allow someone to talk down and belittle me during class hours and if I left I would be marked absent. I have came to school and been told I wasn't there and where is the proof when other students witnessed me being present. 

 

I have been denied books at the end of the academic portion one week before finals due to non payments, I am a VA student and the VA pays the post/911 GI bill in one lump sum so I had book money, my tuition was paid in full. When I inquired about this and asked to see it in the handbook I was told that I signed paperwork and contracts so I should be familiar.

 

They are abusing the vagueness of the student handbook. One instructor actually followed me as I was leaving and watched for me in the morning. This personal attention was not given to other students. Also, this same instructor has made comments about me being in the military and collecting benefits and how I wouldn't survive without those crutches. I believe that this was a way to prove this to me by lying about my attendance as a result cutting off my benefits causing finance stress. I was soo close.
