Everlast Paving & Brick Pavers His dad died and went to Florida. He wont stop lying Toms River New Jersey

Everlast paving owner Peter George promised to repave my black top drive way in 2 days. I made a $ 4000 deposit in good faith. He removed some of the driveway and demanded $ 7000 more next day and threaten to stop work if I don't pay. I paid the additional $ 7000 since all I wanted was the work to be done quickly and properly as the cold weather is approaching. Total cost was supposed to be 21500. He was supposed to excavate 9 inches deep to the sub-base. Roll the sub-base, deposit 6 inches of stone roll to compaction and then 3 inches of asphalt. He removed the black top that was 2 to 3 inches thick. In some areas he removed no more than 1 to 2 inches (he dug a short trench about 6 inch deep and took a picture of that trying to make it like he has dug in that much everwhere). In at least half of the area, he didn't remove anything beyond the black top. He then spread some stone over (about one truck load but claiming he has brought in five)one tenth of the total area to about one to two inch. Then proceeded to redeposit the dirt that he had excavated from my drive way back on the driveway saying that this is new material he has brought in. He didnt even bother rolling before depositing this material back on. He stopped work and disappeared for a while, granted that this was partly due to two days of bad weather. All the while he said that he will do a good job and every day said will return next day. He finally called to say he will not return for another week. I have asked him not to return and demanded that he refund $6000 of what I have given him. He has responded by saying he is not liar and a cheat and insist that he will finish the job. It is obvious that he lies and lies and will lie some more and can not be trusted.

He told me his last name was Mitchell and of course I found out it is George (not sure even if that's true).

He told me his father had died and he had to carry the business as a teenager then to tell me that his father is in Florida and has a paving business there and when it gets slow in winters here he may go there to help him out.

He also claims he does work for a large health chain. I did contact the facility manger in that place and I was told his work is terrible and he was asked to come back several times to redo the work.
