In September of 2008 I was contacted by Gregory Scott Powell with EveryContractor.com. I was told that they were looking for contractors in my area providing services that my business offered. I signed up for the leads program with the price of $699. I was guaranteed a certain amount of leads fitting my profile within a year. This was a money back guarantee that if I did not get the leads I would be refunded the full amount that I paid. Less than a month later I was contacted by Leonard "Lynn" Whiteside who claimed to be a manager over the preferred contractor program. He stated that he had an Overwhelming amount of work fitting my profile in my area and he needed me to upgrade to the preferred contractor status. He said that he would apply the $699 I had already paid to the price for the preferred contractor package of $4000.00. I told him I was unable to make the purchase at that time and could he call me back at a later date. Leonard A.K.A "Lynn" Whiteside proposed an option to be billed for $1550.50 within 30 days and the remainder of $1750.50 within 90 days. Before he could assign my first job right away he needed to APPROVE my debit card for the $1550.50 but promised that he would ONLY be approving the card and NOT debiting the money from the account. He said he would bill me for this amount of $1550.50 and I would have 30 days to pay this amount. I was transferred to the accounting department to give permission for the approval. The woman in accounting specifically worded that she would be charging my debit card for $1550.50 at this time. I said NO, and explained to her that we were not charging anything, but Lynn needed to make sure that the card approved for the amount. I was to be billed for the $1550.50 within 30 days. Immediately, Lynn, who apparently was listening on speaker phone, picked up the phone and explained the exact arrangement that he and I agreed to, to the woman in accounting. She told me that she needed a specific yes or no for the permission. I told her yes because she was just explained by Lynn that the charging was for the approval only. The following business day, without my knowledge, my account was debited for the $1550.50. I made numerous attempts to reach Leonard "Lynn" on his direct line and left several messages for him to return my call. I tried other methods, including going through customer service, sales, and customer support. Various individuals left direct "Emergency messages" for him to contact me. I was never contacted. Four and a Half hours later, through an attempt with customer support to reach Lynn, I was transferred to Andre. Right away, I realized that this was an attempt to silence my complaint. Not only did they debit my account for the $699 and also the $1550.50, I have yet to receive a job. In my conversation with Andre, I informed him I was not satisfied and I no longer wanted to continue with EveryContractor. I asked for a full refund due to an unauthorized credit card charge. I told him I wanted out of the program and that I wanted nothing more to do with the company. He told me everything was final and there was nothing that could be done. I asked again to speak to Lynn and he told me that Lynn was busy and would call me when he could. Needless to say, I never received a call back from Lynn. No legitimate company would pressure you into an irreversible purchase without ANY satisfaction of their services. I can say nothing good about EveryContractor. All I have to say is that they are taking money from innocent people and guaranteeing work when they CAN NOT guarantee anything. They are the middle man, making a fortune off of people who work hard for a living while they sit in an air conditioned/ heated office making calls all day with intentions to RIP you off! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!
