UNFORTUNATELY, I WORKED AS AN OUTSIDE SALES AGENT, FOR 'EVO', FOR ALMOST THREE YEARS.
THE FORTHCOMING IS WHAT I LEARNED AND DISCOVERED, ABOUT 'EVO', WHILE WORKING FOR THEM:

1. THEY ARE NOT A TRUE FRONT-LINE TRANSACTION PAYMENT PROCESSOR, AS TOLD BY THEIR SALES AGENTS, 'LIKE MYSELF'.
IN FACT 'EVO' IS AN INDEPENDENT SALES ORGANIZATION 'I.S.O.', UNDER GLOBAL PAYMENTS, INC.
EVO, TO DATE, IS GLOBAL PAYMENTS, INC'S LARGEST I.S.O.

AS A SELLING &/or CLOSING TOOL, THE SALES AGENTS, UPON COMPLETING A THREE TO FIVE DAY TRAINING CLASS,WERE GIVEN BOTH, SALES PRESENTATION AND TRAINING BINDERS.

WITHIN THESE BINDERS, WERE NO LESS THAN LIES; TAUGHT TO NEW SALES AGENTS, TOWARDS GETTING A MERCHANT TO FEEL COMFORTABLE, ABOUT SWITCHING TO 'EVO'.

A DIAGRAM WAS MADE, AND DISPLAYED, WITHIN SUCH BINDERS, SHOWING THAT 'EVO' WAS JUST BELOW VISA/MC; THEREBY MAKING THEM A TRUE FRONT-LINE TRANSACTION PAYMENT PROCESSOR, AND NOT A MIDDLE-MAN, OR AN I.S.O.
THIS IS IN FACT, NO LESS THAN A LIE; BECAUSE GLOBAL WAS AND STILL IS, ABOVE THEM.

THIS SO FAR, IS A MISREPRESENTATION OF SERVICES, TOWARDS OBTAINING A BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP; WHICH IN ITSELF, MAY BE CAUSE FOR LITIGATION.

2. ON A REGULAR BASIS, THE INSIDE SALES MANAGERS, WHERE I WORKED, WOULD PERFORM AN ACT, THAT MAY BE CONSIDERED AS FELONIOUS, IN NATURE.

THEY WOULD COPY AND PASTE INFORMATION, 'ESPECIALLY SIGNATURES' ONTO A SIGNED CONTRACT, TO KEEP UNDERWRITING FROM PENDING THE DEAL, OR SENDING IT BACK. ALL MANAGERS WERE A PARTY TO THS ACT, BECAUSE THEY KNEW OF IT TAKING PLACE, AT THE TIME IT WAS INITIATED.

IT WOULD BE MY ADVISE, TO HAVE A CERTIFIED, TRUE COPY SUBPOENAED, FROM UNDERWRITING; SO AS TO COMPARE IT, AGAINST WHAT YOU HAVE. ANY ALTERATONS, GIVEN TO UNDERWRITING DEPARTMENT, SHOULD GIVE CAUSE, TO MAKE ANY AGREEMENT NULL AND VOID; AS WELL AS CAUSE, FOR POSSIBLE LITIGATION.

THE AFORMENTIONED, IS BUT A TIP OF THE ICEBERG, 'AS TO SAY'.

#8 REBUTTAL Owner of company

The person pretending to be Garry Lee Howard, Sr

AUTHOR: Jdovell - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, February 10, 2010

I'm a owner of a company out of Dallas and Atlanta.  I have to agree with this guy...who is the EVO management writing this? I jump on here to shop around for a new processor.  Only to find out that all the companies appear to practicing the same methods.

I have to respond to this I honestly can't help myself.

You can clearly see that this is not you sir and "I wish I still work there." Everyone in my management has look at these statement left by you and I have to say, we are appalled at the level these guys will go.  We laughed at first on how you handle this...but this is not funny at all.  My god the step these people take.  You can clearly see this is EVO management writing this.  As far as sending the wife a letter.  Believe me pretender after reading this " and how you have acted"   I would send your wife more then a letter.  A letter with a ticket.  All expensie paid trip to her wishes...where I would be joining her...every night. I should not have said that. Not the most honorable thing to do. You should have handle things like a man? Quit dodging the guy so he didn't have to contact your wife, A-Hole.

What is this risk management?  That sounds like BS. I'm thinking about doing away with CC for my clients altogether.  I've owned my business for over six years and in some cases I tell my management to not charge any cards for the whole month until otherwise told.  We get by without charging cards.  It's an inconvices for our clients.  But we survived.  Two months ago we charged only $3K and was charged $1200 in fees.  There went all of profits to some CC comp.  What did they do?  Did they build the items we sold or work until midnight to make sure our customers get what they want.  Nothing but process a card!

First Data
Like I said we are a M1 customer shopping around trying to find someone reputable. My accounting department was trying to be fooled into filling out a online application from First Data Monday...only to take a closer look and it was a contract.  How stupid do these companies think we are?

I'm sorry for what has happen to you and my hearts go out to you all.

But I have to ask.  Who can we trust?  Who are the reputably processors?  Could you show us...who we can trust?

For those in the CC processing.  You have experience in this field...you know all the high end clients they have.  Start your own company or work for another company and call their clients and explain how they do business and take them BACK!!!!

If EVO calls and says quit taking our customers give them what they give their customers... " After review our rick management has looked over your accounts and decide that your customers desire a better service and less screwing."  "But feel free to call us back in 30 days for the release of the client."  Ha ha. Or maybe 18 months. First Data, Merchant One, and EVO sound like they all need a good screwing.

Thank you.

#4 UPDATE EX-employee responds

I can confirm past postings...

AUTHOR: Grinding For Life - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 09, 2008

I wont even entertain a debate on this fraud subject. This company ABSOLUTELY scams local businesses. Period.

I worked in one of there branches in the south, and the practices previously mentioned by other posters took place so often it was ridiculous! Copying signatures, fudging numbers so business owners would think they are saving, creation of supporting documentation out of thin air to get deals to go through underwriting. Just to name a few.

That doesnt even cover the treatment of those who work for/with them. They have very few employees, to keep undercover their practices. The main problem with this company lies with its Charlotte hub. That is where the rules are made/broken. All of there sales force are independent contractors, so they dont have to shell out taxes/benefits. They rarely pay what was promised. I could go on and on, but I will hold back to see if anyone is listening before I really spill the beans!!!!

Overall, this company is a joke, but I warn all business owners to beware.....

TRUE Statements

AUTHOR: Shouldaknown - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 29, 2008

Sadly, as an ex employee myself, I can verify that all statements made above are correct. I say this not out of vengeance, but out of the necessity to warn future merchants.

Due to the nature of the business, numbers were the #1 Priority. A pending deal was undesirable to all involved in the "unpending" so many times, we just did what we had to do. It was a sale, after all, and they do not want to lose those.

ALso, concerning training....this is also true. New reps were built up with hopes of an easy sales, just to learn in the end that one thing works....being CUT THROAT And just MAKING THE SALE the best you can, by ANY means necessary (i.e. empty promises.)

Truth hurts......

VICTIMIZED & SEEKING AN ATTORNEY

AUTHOR: "victimized By Evo" - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 01, 2008

FOR SOME TIME, I'VE HELD BACK FROM RESPONDING, TO AND AGAINST THIS LAME COMMENT, MADE IN MY BEHALF.

IT WOULD TAKE A PERSON WITH A BRAIN, THE SIZE OF A DAISY BB, TO THINK THAT ANY INDIVIDUAL WOULD PURPOSELY MAKE SUCH COMMENTS ABOUT THEMSELF OVER THE WORLD-WIDE-WEB; OR ANYWHERES, FOR THAT MATTER.

THIS BEHAVIOR JUST GOES TO SHOW YOU, THE CALIBER OF PEOPLE RUNNING MERCHANT SERVICES, INC. AND 'dba' EVO, AT THE EXECUTIVE LEVEL.

KNOW THIS.....NOTHING I'VE WRIITEN IS A LIE. EVERYTHING I'VE WRITTEN IS THE TRUTH; AND CAN BE 'TANGIBLY' PROVEN.

THANK YOU ROB, IN ERIAL, NJ.; FOR SEEING THE OBVIOUS.

EVO EX...Garry Lee Howard, Sr

AUTHOR: Garry Howard/ Ex-evo Salesperson - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, January 27, 2008

I would like to revoke my comments about EVO Merchant Services in Charlotte.

I am an ex-independent contractor named Garry Howard. I worked for EVO for 2 years. I became disgruntled when management decided to change the compensation plan. I was receiving $350 a month in residuals. They took it away.
As a result, I have taken on a personal vengence against management and EVO. It may be childish, but I will not stop until I get sued.

I even went so low as to mail a false infidelity letter to my old boss' wife. I bet he wishes he ever took away my money.

After further thought, I am just angry and wish I still worked for EVO.
