Used freecreditreport.com service. Entered my card info to get the report but was charged 21.95 today (1 week after the free report).

Understanding that there may have been some misunderstanding, I called them to ask for it to be reversed and my card refunded. They refused, saying that I signed up for a free 7 day service that then becomes a monthly fee. Supposedly it was for a more in-depth report. [A report, I might add, that I never received.]

I assured them that I would never have agreed to that. This site was called "Free Credit Report" afterall.

Spoke with the supervisor and was still refused a refund.

Sad that companies like Experian are set up in a way to scam rather than build relationships with a customer. I would have continued to use their service (and more when I needed a more in-depth report down the road) but now I'm hoping to warn others who may try to use their "free" service.

The same exact thing happened to me Experian charged my card $21.95 but my case it was a fraudulant act somehow somebody use my numbers to order this report I don't know how somewhere I use my card it must have registered my numbers in a database. Also you mentioned that this has to be stopped companies like this who are supposed to be helping your credit are actually contributing to damaging it instead. Just to move off the subject just a second but it relates to it in the same way a lot of these department stores will companies when you pay for a credit card do not ask you for ID it should be mandatory that Ivy is presented with a credit card this will stop thieves from making purchases in most cases
