I paid Expo design services a $750.00 retainer to have one of their designers "Jennifer Garrido" help in the purchase of several items for my mothers home. Jennifer's service was nothing that expo promised.

1.Jennifer negleted to advise me on the type of sink to purchase to work with the new granite I was installing and I had to return an internet bought sink I loved 2 months after purchasing due to her NOT telling me even though she knew prior to my puchase what I was considering. VERY INCONVIENT and project put off 2 months for this incident alone- No water for two months either!

2.Jennifer had me buy the wrong faucet for the granite as only special types should be used. Another return to the store and another headache as I had to pay a plumber extra! Lost one extra day of work for plumber to install at cost of 420.00.

3.Jennifer chose an airgap that Sears told me was recalled-Sears forced me to buy another at 3 times the normal cost!

4.Jennifer negleted to discuss the lack of a backsplash with the granite installers and the granite was terribly crookedwhere it met the wall as they assummed I was putting a splash.

5. Granite installers made a mess, caused severe damage to cabnetry and ruined granite around airgap. They refused to make good on these mistakes and they said they would. Difranco granite company continues to ignore my calls as the granite seem is lifted high and needs repair.

6.Jennifer and Kim from flooring suggested I buy a solid wood to go on top of my cement subfloor. I bought it on their word and 9 months later it still cannot be installed as I was told due to extreme amounts of moisture in the floor.

Their contracter Goran never used a moisture meter to measure anything prior to saying he would do the job. Expo refuses to take the floor back and it remains in the packages unused.Prior to me buying the floor I begged Jennifer for Goran's number as I was wary of a solid on top of concrete and had questions . She refused to give me his number! I lost 3100.00 and much time off work. I called over 50 contractors over a several month period to locate one that would do it. Finally I found an expert that sold the same product. He says in no way can it be done !

7. Expo sold me slate that was suppossed to look similar to one they had on display. Well it looks nothing like it and they won't ever give money back on flooring even if they commit fraud in the process.

8.Expo customer service sucks as I have called wrote letters and contacted the corporate office only to get no where! I stay on hold for days and when I was shopping in the store alone no one would help ever!!!! Chris Moses you suck. Kim Macintosh too!"Both gone now" Herb Sims-Useless! Kim Mann you too! And to all those weasals who did not return my calls, why are you in this business if not to serve?

9. Expo commited fraud due to the fact that Jennifer was a Paid designer whose job was to make my shopping experiance easier by guiding me to purchases. She made it harder as I was returning everything and second guessing her incompetance the whole time. It would have been easier on my own.She created a hell for me and my family and our lives have been one constant nightmare as the listings here are only partial!

10. Expo/Jennifer/Kim/Goran commited another fraud by telling me that the hardwood I bought was perfect for my situation. It was not. I cannot use the floor. They won't take it back. I have lost 3100.00 and 8 months of my life! I have been depressed not working to to the constant time off work trying to find an installer and negleted my masters thesis.

NEVER SHOP AT EXPO!! THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THE PRODUCTS THEY SELL NOR THEIR CUSTOMERS. I will boycott them as long as I live.

Today 8/9/05 Herb Sims store manager at Redondo Beach expo offered me a store credit for Expo selling me the wrong type of wood. He essentially pushed the credit on me because over 3 months ago I was considering taking one to end the nightmare. He used a complaint I filed at my 3cents .com against me!

The fact is I now have proof they commited consumer fraud and I may be entitled to 9K so he is offering 3k credit to end my internet complaint rampage. I faxed him back saying I wanted cash and for them to pick up the wood themselves as I should not have to pay to return it as it should have never been sold. In the mean time as I had a day to waste I contacted the BBB, the attorney General and the Secretary of state. :)
