Found a number that had a local area code on craigslist under the "domestic" indicating a need for secret shoppers with the potential to "make $55 for about 2hrs." I am a stay at home mom so I decided to check it out. The first thing I was asked was "are you calling about the text or ad?" ... odd? Yes. But I stayed on to see what this was about.

The lady couldn't seem to get her words out fast enough, and there was a ton of commotion in the background. There were a few times that I can recall where she stumbled over her words since she was speaking entirely too fast! She gave me the same shpiel that I am reading about on here about secret shopping opportunities at Walmart, CVS, blah, blah, blah. She told me about the $2.95 set up fee and the 7-day trial period and the training and all that stuff. I agreed to give it a shot since I had nothing to lose since I have a seperate debit card for online purchases that only had $10 in the account...the worst they could do is steal $10.

As she is telling me about the secret shopping website, she mentions the EMZ shop. She was talking so fast, all I could catch was that it was a store with your own website that you make money off of and that she was going to get me started with this service for a small fee of $3.95 for the 14-day trial period...all in one breath! I said, "I don't think so, you want me to pay money for something that you haven't even explained. How do you make money off of this so called 'store' ?" She proceeded to talk about a wharehouse that you choose a product from 'like a coach purse' and you tell them to sell it on eBay and you make the difference from what it sells. She also told me that if I didn't like it, I could cancel anytime and refund my $3.95 in the 14 days. I agreed, figuring I have nothing to lose.

I logged onto the website, and basically the "secret shopping jobs" are a website that builds a profile for you to send to companies and APPLY for secret shopping opportunities...not what I was told. So then I logged into the EMZ Store and it is just a website host for creating your own online store. You are basically paying for a website layout and a URL for a store that has nothing to do with eBay and of which you still need to generate your own customers and profit, etc. Also not what I was told.

Before even reading the reports on here, I decided that his Extra Money Zone is a shady company and a waste of time. Who even knows how legit it really is if you even put all that time into the secret shopping profile and the "EMZ store" crap? I just hung up with customer support and got 2 cancellation numbers and a name. My husband is a lawyer and will have no problem filing a suit against them if we get charged any more money from this fraudulent company!
