The morning of March 5th I received a text message from '435-54' that read "Hiring in your Area! Mystery Shoppers Needed. Make up to $50/hr! Call 1877-907-0507". I was interested to see what it was all about as I am currently unemployed.

When I called the number a woman answered and the first thing she asked was "Are you calling about a text or ad you received?" I told her that I received a text about Mystery Shoppers needed in my area. She asked for my zip code and then said yes there are tons of jobs available in your area and then named a few large retailers such as Walmart, CVS, restaurants and other smaller businesses too. All I would need to do is take their on-line training and then could begin my first assignment as soon as this evening. I could do as many as I chose and could create my own schedule.

She said to use my phone number as my username but didn't mention a password. Then said all I need is your $2.95 enrollment fee and would I be using a Visa, Master Card, AmEx, or Discover card to make my payment? I told her I would like to learn more about their company before giving any type of information of that sort. In one breath she said you can visit our website at www.ExtraMoneyZone.com and if any jobs were still available then I could call back and hung up on me.

I then knew it must be a scam, and found by reading on the internet that it indeed is! I am so glad I did not fall victim to this, but from what I have read others have been charged various unauthorized amounts and were given several different variations of who they are and/or what they offer. I hope someone reads this before falling victim to this SCAM!!! I also hope the authorities will do what they can to stop this from happening anymore.
