I bought rims to the tune of $700 from the company owner, Tyler Reilly.  I was guaranteed that they would fit my car.  When they arrived, I had one mounted and it was clear they would not fit my car.

I called for Tyler Reilly immediately.  I was told he was in and he would pick up in a minute.  I was placed on hold for over 10 minutes.  I hung up and recalled and again asked if Tyler was in.  I was told he was, and he would pick up right away.  I was placed on old for almost 15 minutes.  I presumed that my call was merely being mishandled.  After calling several more times, I became aware that "Jake" the manager was placing me on "terminal hold" hoping I would just go away.

I wrote Tyler several e-mails identifying my problem.  He answered my e-mails with a number of juvenile excuses.........."it's not my fault they don't fit.  My supplier told me they would fit".  So now he is playing the blame game that he has no responsibility because his supplier made the mistake.

After a number of e-mails, Tyler promised to have the rims picked up.  I thought all was resolved......my mistake.  He said he was sending for them..........only one problem.  He never did!!  I guess that's what's known as "lip service".

It became quite obvious that his juvenile has no intention of remedying the situation.  I will donate the rims to one of my favorite car clubs and they can auction them for charity.  I don't have any more time to play with a bunch of 12 year olds running a company.

As of this date, I have had no further contact from baby Tyler.  He has never sent for these rims and I do not expect he ever will.  BUYER BEWARE OF EXTREME CUSTOMS LLC AND TYLER REILLY!!

shedding light..makes both not so bright

I read and cannot fathom a Business owner responding in retaliation such as this here. Its a business's duty to remain diplomatic and maintain professionalism, despite the allegation set forth.
This could have been handled in a manner that satisfied the "CUSTOMER", and made your skills and damage control shine. Instead it made you look both poorly in communication and resolution tactics.
The OP was wrong to not work thru this AFTER the RETURN Label was remitted, that part is true. As the Owner though it is important in these economic times to go BEYOND the NORM in resolving BEFORE it hits this website. He obviously expressed his concern and you chose to allow it to escalate instead of Making a PERSONAL EFFORT to stay in communication. Someone dropped the ball big time on this one. I've no professional reason to use a customized shop but it does make me think twice if this is how you treat a customer by Justifying your side without validating the customers rightful concern.

To the OP- It would have helped for you to tell the ENTIRE truth , this business owner DID make attempts and the proof is with the labels.

This is not true

AUTHOR: Tyler Reilly - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, May 01, 2012

The statements that have been posted about my company are not true. The name calling is also not very mature. Our vendor said the wheels would work based on the information that was provided. The customer specifically asked for a certain offset. When the wheels arrived, he test fit one and it sat too far out. He then called and asked for me and was put on hold when the rep was going to get me. He was unaware that I was in a meeting. After the rep got ahold of me, I emailed the customer to let him know that I was not available and asked what the problem was. He responded and expressed his concerns about the wheels not fitting. I then responded by asking how they didnt fit, if it was something with the breaks or not (the
reason I asked is because the vendor guaranteed me the wheels would fit. If it was there error, I wanted them to pay for the freight). He then responded by swearing and more name calling! I told him that I would have my vendor send out return labels (this was late on a Friday). Monday afternoon he messaged us that he was upset that nothing showed up. I then responded with UPS return labels from my company later that Monday 4/16/2012 (see attached picture). If you also look at the date the labels were created, it was SIX days BEFORE he posted this report on Ripoff Report?! I emailed him the labels and this sums up the responses that I received:

Al-

I emailed you return labels LAST MONDAY (email attached). You have yet to ship the wheels back to get your refund.

As you can see in the emails, we tried getting return labels and his only intent after that was to attack our business. If you are looking for wheels and tires and you are having second thoughts because of this posting, please email me at info@extremecustoms.com and I will provide additional proof about this claim. We are the largest stocking aftermarket wheel/tire distributor in the state of Wisconsin and we didnt get

How was this paid?

AUTHOR: Righteous1 - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, April 22, 2012

Doesn't say how you disputed this payment? Please let the public know so we can be advised to pay by Credit card which allows for dispute if items received are not what was originally ordered. Since they are custom, you deserve to have the specifications met.

Oddly When buying items a bill of laden is given that does have the Billing address. Naturally you are under no obligation to return them unless its written. Its their loss technically in many ways.

When its customized work its best to have a meeting face to face with the final specs agreed to prior to ordering. This way both consumer and business are assured of an accurate fit.
