June 2, 2008 I purchased a scooter from Dave Bergman and Extreme Scooters. He sent an email the following day saying that he did not have that scooter in stock and he also didn't accept credit cards anymore due to fees. He asked if we would like to purchase a Roketa Bali for the same price. He seemed very nice at first talking to us about upgrading to a 250cc instead of the original order of a 150cc. That was ok with us.

It is now July 31, 2008 and let me tell you about the problems we have had. He keeps telling us that the scooter has been shipped. When he says that he doesn't have it in his warehouse you are assuming, yes I know about assuming, that it is in the vicinity of where he is at....wrong.

The scooters are in California. Ok, so not a big deal. Every day we call to ask about a tracking number and when we can expect this scooter to get here. A few days later we will get a call back telling us that he will get us a tracking number. That has NEVER happened.

After one call to Mr. Bergmans home, whose number is listed on the BBB, Mrs. Bergman called us back and informed us that our scooter was shipped to the wrong address. I guess the people that got ours thought hey two for the price of one. Meanwhile I still have no scooter.

Dave told us that the 250cc Roketa Bali's were on backorder but he could get us the next step up, MC54 250B, for no additional charge. They will expedite shipping and it will be here in a few days. They will call to set up delivery because it will have to be signed for. Well we received no call and a delivery driver looking for someone to sign for this thing. They called us and would try to deliver the next day. We BOTH took off work to be home for this thing and I am glad we did.

The truck arrived as promised and lowered the scooter to the ground. I read the box and it said it was a MC13 150. That is nowhere near what I was promised. This is a Roketa Bali 150. Did he think that I would be so happy that it was here that I wouldn't read the box? Needless to say we asked the driver to RETURN TO SENDER. We called Dave to inform him of the mistake and he wouldn't answer our calls. We called Lily in the California Roketa warehouse. She said that the mistake "Wasn't her problem." Talk about great customer service.

When Dave did call back he said that he had been in a dead cell area and couldn't answer his cell. Ok, that happens...really! He said he would check it out and get back to us.

Well after several calls today he finally got back with us and said that a new scooter was already shipped out and we couldn't cancel an order after it's been shipped. He, of course, doesn't have a tracking number for us. It should be here within the next 3 days.....I think I'll hold my breath.....

To be continued.....

Ok, so it is 1 week later. We did receive the scooter that they promised us. The directions leave a lot to be desired as far as putting things together although there aren't THAT MANY parts to put on. Anyone with some knowledge of where things go should be able to do this. The scooter does run well and am pleased with it overall. Now the problem will be getting the title and tagging the thing. What good is it to have if you can't legally ride it on the road?
