On August 10, 2016 we started out bi-monthly yard service contract with Ezhome (http://www.ezhome.com/).   I briefly met with our gardener to explain what we wanted done,  and then my family and I left for vacation over the weekend.    On our way to our destination, we received a call from my father telling me that my side gate was completely destroyed.    Please see the attached pictures.   Ezhome eventually confirmed that their gardener had damaged the gate, and stated that they would do whatever was needed to make it right. 

They sent out one of their own carpenters to take a look, and it was decided that they did not have the skills needed to build a comparable gate.  At that point they asked me to obtain a quote from a 3rd party and submit to their management.   It took some time to find a contractor that would take such a small job, but eventually we did.    He estimated $200 for material, and $80/hr labor X 10 hours of work (total $1k).   We submitted this quote to Ezhome.  Two weeks went by with no response, then we received an email that stated that they had followed up with several contractors and determined that our quote was too high.  They gave us two options:

Option 1: Ezhome would write us a check for $500 and we could use our own contractor

Option 2: Ezhome would use a contractor of their choice to build the gate to our specifications.

Before I accepted either offer, I asked to see the names of the contractors they used to determine that our estimate was high.   Again they stalled for 2 weeks, and finally came back with an email stating that they had lost the list.   Feeling like I had no real choice, I decided to give option 2 a try.  

They had assured me that the gate would be finished and installed on 11/5/2016.   That day came and went with no results.   I have repeatedly attempted to get in touch with the contact at Ezhome and the contractor and have been ignored.    It has been over three months and I have not only do I have no gate, but I have no longer even have assurances that I will ever have such a gate as agreed.
