This lady sold me a dying dog roughly about two and a half weeks ago. I did not post sooner thinking all had been laid to rest including the pup she sold me. This woman was selling a puppy claiming it was from her mother's dog. She told me there was two of them, but the one I was interested in was a female chihuahua. I was just starting out my own business to become a small individual breeder which I noted to her in our first conversation, but all she heard was dollar signs.

The original deal was for me to put down a small deposit on the dog, because she stated that the puppy was only five weeks old at the time. She claimed that the mom was 3lbs and the dad was 5lbs...ouch poor momma dog. Every good breeder in town knows you should never breed a larger male to a smaller female, because it could lead to a possible C-section or worse even death. Which she did not think about or "know" before breeding the pair together.

She stated that she wanted to keep the pup for another 2 weeks until it went to her new home. I was ok with this so I was just going to pay her the small deposit. So two day later we went to get together my understanding was to only make the initial deposit. Wrong....Only 30 minutes before our meeting time she called me on my cell and asked me how I felt about taking the puppy today, because she did not want to have to drive back out again in two weeks. I hesitated, but she was so eager to push the sale so I was not given enough time to talk it over with the rest of my family. I paid her $75.00 in cash for the dog and I thought it was a happy ending from that point on.

My kids were so happy about the puppy, but even they were not allowed to handle it yet due to the underdevelopment of the puppy. We were all so excited to have our new pet, with the hopes of one day being able to breed her if she was big enough.

Once I brought the puppy home I inspected her more. She seemed to have little scabs on her belly and one noticable one on her head over her eye. This lady said she was not sure how she got it but not to worry that it would "fall off." This puppy had never been to a vet since birth which could have also saved her. She also said the puppy already had it's shots at 5 weeks of age. Which I know is a bit young and could possibly kill a pup if given too early.

Well needless to say the next morning I had some company over to see our new pup and it was already dying on us. Not knowing the dog may be already dying within minutes my kids and house guest went back to see her again, and wouldn't you know it she was already dead, just that quick. My kids were hurt the most over this whole ordeal, and they now know her as the "puppy killer."

Well trying not to get upset about the mess that was created. Instead of putting her on my website as a possible breeder I put her as sold, even using the picture she she me of the pup to prove that I did not even have time to take a picture of our new family treasure before it died on us. I know that may not have been right of me and my husband even said not to, but unfortunatley I did not want to have to tell all my family and friends that I got stiffed with a dead puppy, because I did not use good judgement when buying this sick pup. It is not in my nature to be a cruel person, but if I have to pay for something that she caused my family greif over then I can't be blind the rest of my life.

I am not really saying anyone is the victim here except the poor pup that never was given a chance, because it was soooo long of a drive. I did not want to have to post this lady's information over the internet. She did refund my money, but was quick to demand it back when she was I guess looking to get more pups??? That would be the only reason she would be on my webiste I would think. She had a male replacement that was said to be spoken for by someone else, (bless their heart hoping the same thing did not happen to their family)but even if asked to take another "maybe dying dog" I would have declined her offer anyways. A breeder never likes to post about any dog dying in thier hands on their website, but in this case this lady left me with no choice, but to speak the full truth about how cruel an individual can be.

To the person that bought the male from if it did not die before she sold it to you. "I hope you have better luck with your baby vs. the sad encounter we delt with this person. With that being said I am sorry I had to post this, but you will thank me in the long run if you are ever thinking of buying a pup from "the puppy killer."
