I swear, this weeks scammers are coming out of the woodowork and it doesnt look like there will be an end to it any time soon. What is worse about it, not only are these companies breaking the law knowingly, they are dragging innocent customers like myself into it now and allowing us to break the law for them. Whats worse, you may not even know your doing it, but are being used as a pawn to comit theft. Facebook and Googleplay are rampent with them. Here is the story and I'll explain in english afterwords on whats going on.

I'm sure many of you have been spammed to high hell on just about every type of game on facebook and googleplay. Im using both companies names because they are working together. Anway, about a week ago I got one of those annoying spammed gaming messages to try out some new game which uses a slot machine and gives about 60 tuns every 6 hours. Obviously if you want more turns, you pay for them. Just about everything that makes the games more appealing and more addictive will cost you. Most of them have their terms and conditions, but not even these state whats going on or that their using you to actually steal funds from other people. Thats what happened to me. Now lets not confuse RPG games with PVP. Thats a totaly different realm. Lets not get off the subject. Anways, this game that uses a slot machine and gives 60 turns, has features where you can attack random people and take every penny they have. It used to be when you did this, you really didnt steal from them, you just ended up winning some amount calculated by the victoms holdings and added to your own without the victom actually losing a cent and just getting a message you attacked them so you can retaliate back if you choose. The problem here, these games are using real money. You buy pixel gold to use in the game. Or whatever game currency it uses. Anyway, a week ago I tried this game and instead of buying gold to play with, did a few surveys to play. The average player has about 2 to 3 million gold, but one player had 50 million gold. I attacked them and won every cent they had and used it to build up my characters to make it harder for other players to attack me and win. Not even a week goes by when I start getting hate messages from other players on how can I live with myself for stealing every penny from an 8 year old kid. My facebook list has over 1500 people on it, and all are game players. It didn;t take me long to find out what had actually happened. That random player that I attacked with 50 million gold was actually an 8 year old kid who had stupidly used their birthday money to purchase 50 million gold to play in the game I had just joined. 50 million gold for this game costs $50. Im more pissed at the parents that let their 8 year old spend that much money on a game, but heck, after looking through the terms and rules of the game, it didnt say a thing anywhere about stealing from other players, or even cleaning them out. This 8 year old bought 50 million gold, and didnt even get to log into the game yet but the server saw the funds and decided to let everyone have a go at it and unfortunately, it ended up being me who won it, and spent it. After hearing what happened, I offered to pay the kid $50, but only if he/she promised not to waste it playing games. Obviously the kids parents took over because I don't know many 8 year olds, inclduing my kids with such a lenghty vocabulary on what I can do with the $50. I ended up uninstalling the game, and uninstalled facebook as well. I also talked with the company involved and they didnt care. They just told me to buy more gold and let people steal it back from me.

What it boils down to, is many companies are putting up very addictive games, and getting children to play them and to get them to lose thier money as well. You dont have to play the game, you just need to buy the currency, and someone is going to log in and steal it all from under you. They wont tell you this, you need to find out the hard way. If you have kids like I do, let them know to be careful. If you got scammed and your card charged, call your bank and get a chargeback done asap. The more people who do this, the faster companies like facebook and googleplay will start enforcing the laws that were put in years ago to stop this.
