I found an amazing deal on a vehicle through Kijiji. I contacted the seller via emails. It was a woman who recently got the car through a divorce with her husband and did not need the car anymore. She requested money to be sent through ebay, which a representative contacted me through email to set up. The money was sent via Money Gram to an ebay agent, after a day of doing more research, I found out it was a complete scam. The person emails me back for more "insurance" money before the car was to be sent. I knew right then I was had.

So, Ebay was NOT really involved at all here! I have the link for the actual site.

I think the OP should stick to the facts.

Ebay was in no way involved in this transaction.

WHY was Ebay mentioned in your "rip off"?

Here is the site this person went to:
http://toronto.kijiji.ca/

It is a FREE AD site!

Kijiji.com ........Truth or fiction ...???

AUTHOR: Lynn - (U.S.A.)

KIjiji.com is a fictious web site. I came across this web site thru Google.

Kijiji claims to be a free advertising web site. You can place you add for free.

Leaving all necessary imformation to be contacted by perspective buyers.

I placed my free ad, amd never saw this wed site again. IT WILL NOT COME UP !!!

If you use Google, you might come across it by pure accident. Don't look for Kijiji.com, you will not find it. Good Luck.

Was the vehicle actually listed on Ebay?

AUTHOR: Steve - (U.S.A.)

You never specified as to whether or not the vehicle was actually listed on Ebay.

If it was, why don't you just file a fraud report with Ebay?

My guess is that you made a transaction outside of Ebay, and got burned.

Ebay warns you of such transactions, and it is just plain common sense not to wire money to anyone you do not know personally.

Ebay has an escrow service for this type of transaction.

That is what it is for.

Use it.
