Upon submitting met resume on career builder I was contacted by a company by the name of FAM Marketing with a job opening a Verizon Account Representative.  One phone call and I was offered a one on one interview for the very next day; strange.  In preparation for my interview researches the company only to find nothing.  I then typed in the address of the company which directed me here where the same address was affiliated with the same offense.  To be sure I was not jumping the gun in blowing them off I called Verizon to confirm their affiliation with my potential employer.  Verizon had no record of this company ever being an affiliate with them in anyway.  Further research called for me to confront them as to why Verizon would not have any record or knowledge of those alleged affiliation and the receptionist became flustered and began to stammer as if she where caught with her hand in the proverbial cookie, she then handed the phone to a smoot talking gentleman named Craig who explained to me that they were a third party vendor and this contract was designed to remove any liability of FAM Marketing's actions, thus substantiang the lack of knowledge on Verizon's part.  I told Craig that this sounded like a partnership at-will, to which he agreed, which is between two partners not corporations and vendors; mistake number one. Any legal partnership must file articles of partnership which includes management and control, capital contributions, and dissociation and dissolution clauses.  It is now very clear that through this process of submitting a partnership agreement for approval the two parties become very familiar with each other. Why does Verizon have no knowledge of this company's existence? Be careful with these guys!

They have my address so excuse the fake name!

FAM is established

AUTHOR: Brendan - ()

POSTED: Thursday, November 06, 2014

I'm the assistant manager at FAM, and I've been with the company since it opend in 2013. The company is a third party representative contracted with Verizon, that conducts sales and account management on behalf of Verizon in the Inland Empire and East LA.

Unless a person were to contact a Verizon marketing executive in refrence to FAM it is unlikely any consumer would be aware of our existence. Thats the point because we localy represent and work for Verizon. If any cannidate for hire or concerned consumer would like to come check us out they are welcome. FAM Marketing Inc.'s website is searchable and anyone can contact us through it.

And if you made it this far down the page thank you for your consideration.

Yeah I just got an e-mail (April 7th, 2014) from the person above who says she is an ex worker from the company. She works in their "HR" Department says the email I got from the company apparently sent by her. The phone number shows up back to the company, but the company has no major google searching other than it's own website.

Too many red flags.

FAM Marketing is not a scam

I actually use to work for this company not to long ago and they do work with Verizon. the reason they contact you and do interviews the way they do is one see if your cut out for the job and two so you both aren't wasting eachothers time. Its pretty simple they handle existing verizon customers and custmers that use to have verizon. Craig even tells you in the first interview if you get a call back for a second interview its all day because you got out on the field, which is going door to door talking to ex verizon customers to get their business back and you also speak with existing verizon customers too. Its comission based and they have bonuses its a no brainer and theres no scam. some people arent cut out for the door to door sales and if its not your cup of tea then dont do it they arent forcing you. but if you want to make money and your good at sales then its a perfect job for you, not to mention all the employees who work their and including the owner Craig are amazing people its like one big family and the atmosphere is always positive and upbeat. To the poster I dont understand why you would have to use a fake name like they are going to come after you and do something to you they are all such nice people i dont think there is a need for a fake name we are all mature adults. I hope this helps everyone out on what FAM marketing is and does. If you would have went to the interview they would of told you themselves. also just because you call verizon customer service and one person didnt know who they were doesnt mean they are a scam someone needs to do more research. we all have representative numbers for when we call into verizon how do you think they get paid. its like the verizon fios representatives that stand in the stores, but instead you go door to door to do sales. so that means the representatives who stand in the stores are part of a scam too?
