They claim to be non-profit!

They claim that they are there to help you. I enrolled with this company. Sent them my initial payment
as they wished. It totaled $516.00. Might I add that
is a lot of money for our family. They sent proposals
to the four creditors that I had "enrolled". Two of them
immediately called me and said that was notice of refusal
to pay and both said they refuse payments from this
FCCC and warned me about them. Realizing that this company would not benefit me if majority of my debts were not approved in this program, my husband and I went to our family for help. They agreed to help us and paid monies towards the debt that we had enrolled. I decided since there was no debt for FCCC to pay and the creditors didn't approve of this company to let them know we no longer needed the service.

In a letter back from Family Credit Counseling Corporation (the not for profit company) I was informed that I would not be receiving any of my $516.00 back. We were greatly hoping for that money for Christmas presents. I phoned them and spoke to a rude man by the name of Ricardo that didn't want to let me talk to his manager. He ignored my concerns completely. He says that you have to cancel within 5 days.

The problem is this. This company is not for profit.
They never provided a service to me. I didn't know
my creditors didn't accept payments from them until
well after the 5 day period. So what are they going to
do with our $516.00?

If you enroll and give them any money--even if they
never make a payment for you -- You will lose it!

BEWARE of this company and others like it!
