Family Credit Counseling ripoff They stole $1489 of MY money and now ignore my calls/emails!!Lauderdale Lakes Florida

I joined this debt consolidation program through Debt Solutions/ Family Credit Counseling Corp. (web address is www.familycredithelp.org) out fo Lauderdale Lakes, FL. I paid every month on time (automatic withdrawal from my checking account). In mid Sept. 2005 I finished paying off all creditors. This meant that I was entitled to my initial $747 payment made upon joining - I even have the contract signed that states this. At the end of Sept. they made an unauthorized withdrawal in the amount of my monthly payment which was $371 AFTER all accounts were paid off. I tried daily to get my money back and finally in Oct. I was told they were cutting me a check and it would be sent in a couple of days. Never got the check. In Oct. no money was taken from my acct. Then again at the end of Nov. (remember I paid everything off in Sept.!!!) they made an unauthorized withdrawal of $371. I didn't realize this until 3 weeks before Christmas and had to book it to stores to return gifts so every check I had out wouldn't bounce! NO JOKE! That's $1489! DO NOT JOIN THIS ORGANIZATION!!! I now have a lawyer investigating the situation but that doesn't help with the money that has been lost right now!
