Here's how their latest fraud works:

You will visit a theater's website to buy tickets and be unknowingly redirected to the Fandango website.

The first time you place your order, you'll get a message saying "your transaction could not be processed, try again".

You try again and the transaction is processed.

Immediately check your credit or debit card for these transactions.  You will see, contrary to the message you received, that BOTH were run through; i.e. while you received only one confirmation #, you were billed twice by Fandago.

When you call Fandago, you will be told "oh, the first transaction isn't ours ... it's your card processor "hold" on the transaction that didn't go through."  Huh?

When you call your card company, you will learn the truth ... both transactions were authorized by Fandango; the credit card company didn't debit any money.

Back at Fandango, they'll lie to you again and again.   You may end up disputing the charge and getting your money refunded in 30-60 days.

What might be quicker is immediately going to Small Claims court.
