An individual claiming to by Farid Sharifi advertised on Craigslist.org as follows:
"2001 TOYOTA 4RUNNER SR5 V6 4X4 (100K MILES, CLEAN TITLE) - $10800 (ALBUQUERQUE)Date: 2012-04-13, 2:00PM MDT

2001 TOYOTA 4RUNNER SR5 PACKAGE, V6 AUTOMATIC, LEATHER INTERIOR, SUN ROOF, POWER WINDOWS, POWER LOCKS, POWER MIRRORS, CRUISE CONTROL, TILT STEERING, CD AND TAPE PLAYER, TINTED WINDOWS, TOW PACKAGE, ROOF RACK, GOOD TIRES ALL AROUND, ONLY 100K ORIGINAL MILES,TIMING BELT HAS BEEN REPLACED,THIS IS A CLEAN TITLE VEHICLE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. $10,800 CALL (505) 366 - 3049."
I asked him to take the vehicle to a local Toyota Dealer for pre-sale inspection, which he did. I asked the dealer while he was still at the dealer to pull a CarFax as well as the inspection. The dealer eventually sent me the report which he read to me over the phone, indicating that the fender and bumper had been replaced. Farid had indicated that the fender had been replaced, but that it had a clean title.
I never received the Carfax from the dealer whose report showed a clean vehicle with fender and bumper replacement. Sensing something was up, as I never received the CarFax, I pulled my own, only to find that it was a rebuilt title, and, contrary to claims by Farid; Farid is not a private party but a dealer and had not owned the vehicle for an extended period, in fact only owning it for around a month.
Fortunately I bought insurance on my plane ticket so I could cancel. Do not deal with this individual as he is a fraud!!!!!
