While browsing on-line on my TV providers site, a pop-up come on take a survey, which I thought was about the providers services. Survey said I would receive a Free gift for my time. I took the survey, and chose a watch ( value $99), I would only pay shipping of $6.99 ( which turned out to be in Us funds when it was taken out on my account-$9.+ Cd ) Invoice for shipping showed the watch cost -0 - . I then received the watch - Nothing in the envelope about joining a 'club'. Then on Nov 24,2017 - $103.42 was taken out of my account - $99.+ US + exchange rate - total - $130.42 !! Basically cleaning out My account !! I contact My bank and was told to contact the company. I did, only to be told that I had joined some watch club ? and that I was to be billed monthly !! I explained I had not joined any watch club to my knowledge - only had done a survey. Well, apparently I had ?? BUT -- they would cancel My subscription and send me a lovely parting gift ?? I was told my 14days had had expired - no exchanges- no refunds ?? Basically thanking me for My interest in the company and purchasing a watch !! I tried to explain that even on a bad day , I wouldn't spent $100 on a watch, as I don't wear one - nor any other jewelry for that fact!! ( I thought it would be nice gift - for 6.99 !! ) Bottom line is - I Didn't intend on joining some watch club!! I had No intensions of purchasing a $100 watch !! Now I am out $130.42 !! I am on a Certified Disability Pension -- I can ill afford this!! I now have to change My bank cards as I do not know if they will or will not do something in the future !! I don't have to the time nor patience for this !!!!
