Back in 2005 I thought that I had recieved the opportunity of a lifetime when I was contacted by Fashion Rock/ Talent Rock!!!! I was pursuing a career in the gospel music industry and they PROMISED me that they had such a category that existed, and how it was such a great and broad opportunity, and how Lou Pearlman had helped soooo much talent get thier break through! Needless to say that I was younger, excited, and dumb enough to pay the price they asked me for! Believing that it was a great new beginning for me I paid them over $3000.00, and to put the cherry on the icing... at the time I was a single mom and that was a huge sacrafice for me thinking that I was on the road to a better life for my son I. I COULD OF USED THAT MONEY... I think that was the hardest year I had ever had there after believing I had made a wise investment!!! When I arrived in Orlando, Florida for the (so called) talent scouting I was mortified after I found out that there was no such category for christian/ gospel music, and on top of that there we're several other girls who left angry and disappointed because they were looking for thier 'Plus Size' modeling category only to be told WHEN THEY GOT THERE that it was eliminated about 2 years earlier! WHAT A RIP OFF!! Of course when I made it back home I inquired getting my money back for 'breach of a verbal contract' ,and 'breach of trust', but of course I was told 'NO REFUNDS ALLOWED'... and for some reason I could'nt get in touch with anyone with FR/ TR after that. I did not pursue it any further because I had no money left for an attorney and I did'nt know what else to do. The only reason I am trying again now is because I saw an article online about the scams of Lou Pearlman; sooo I thought there may be some hope. Is it possible to get my money back after 5 years?
