I purchase a Tag Huer Watch in Italy around 1998, a $2,400.00 watch.

When I needed my battery replaced I always went to Fast Fix Jewelry at Park Place Mall in Tucson.

They replaced it around 4 times over the years. About 2 years ago they replaced the battery with a 5 year battery.

Fast Fix writes the date inside the cover of the watch. Well a few days ago the battery went bad and I took it today to Fast Fix at Park Place Mall. They had me leave it and said if it was under Warranty they would not charge me. I thought to my self, have them remove the cover to see the date for yourself but I trusted them.

When I picked up the Watch they said it was out of warranty. I said, "What was the date of the old battery", they said, "there wasn't a date written on the cover", I said, "You people are the only ones who have ever replaced the battery". Now remember they said at first it was out of warranty, then said, someone else must have put it in.

I had the Manage or Owner remove the cover and he showed me the date they just put on it. I said, Where's the date for the old battery, you put it in. There wasn't any date on the cover (I thought are they using disappearing ink).

The Manager got pissed off and said they would never screw anybody and told the Clerk not to charge me (I was calling him a liar). It was like now I'm the Lying Free Loader.

I told the Clerk, no way, I'm paying for the charge and made her charge me for the battery. I just wanted him to know that I know he screwed me and I'm paying to let him do it.

I didn't keep my receipt and that's my fault.

But remember this," HAVE THEM REMOVE THE COVER IN YOUR PRESENCE AND LOOK AT THE DATE FOR YOURSELF DON'T TRUST THEM".

THEY GOT ME FOR $80 BECAUSE I WASN'T GOING TO LET HIM MAKE ME LOOK LIKE A FREE LOADING CHEAPY IN FRONT OF THE CUSTOMERS BEHIND ME.
