Hello I am a former employee and would like to share a personal experience I had with a local Atlanta small business in hopes that people become aware of the unethical business practices performed by this particular franchise and brand as a whole. Fast Fix jewelry and watch repair is a huge rip-off!! This is why I felt it was appropriate to post my experiences on this site.

The Perimeter location is an independent franchise owned and operated with VERY little experience. The owner Mike Shivers has a grand total of 1 year in the repair and jewelry industry. He took over the struggling brand a year ago in hopes to line his pockets in this new business venture. This came at a great time because the Fast Fix brand was taken over a couple of years ago from past GNC CEO to re-establish a failing brand. This all sounds like a typical corporate success story but the tragedy in this is that it done literally at the expense of its customers.  Mike Shiver’s has poor business practices disguised with “great customer service”.  So to get to the point… Fast Fix Perimeter has a base charge of $29.99 for a lifetime battery change. (Keep in mind standard batteries last up to 4 years) This is a standard or base price meaning that the prices can range from $29.99-$179.99 for a simple battery change. Here is the kicker; they only pay .25-.50 cents per battery!!!! They disguise this robbery with an All-American smile, a complex story/reason why the battery charge is so much while each day they profit a whopping 3000 thousand percent mark up on each battery change.

Mike Shivers also has standard practice of an unethical sales strategy in his store; he charges his customers based on whether they “look” as if they would fall for the high prices.  Naturally you would want to assume this is racially motivated but it wasn’t, it was socially motivated. If an elderly lady or someone appeared to be naïve with “large bank accounts” Mike would intentionally charge them on the higher side of his selective pricing. This was the most disgusting part.

Please beware of this company and if you choose to work with them, ask lots of questions and do your own research! This is just a warning.
