Here is all the information anyone will need to know about this FCNB/Mastertrust nonsense.
FCNB/Mastertrust is really being reported by Infistar, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of First National of Nebraka, Inc., or it's main scheme, First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO).
The collection companies you might have heard from are FBCS. They are collecting for FNBO.
No matter what they, or especially Scott (he works for FNBO, that is why he knows so d**n much) tells you, they are a JDB (Junk Debt Buyer). They are not the original creditor since FCNB does not exist anymore.
If they have listed your account as 30, 60, 90, 120, 150, 180 days late or a chargeoff, that is a violation of the FCRA since the debt is junk, and they are junk debt buyers.
This account is not a revolving one since a revolving account by definition is one that you pay off, and credit is extended to you again. This is not the cash, they are a collection agency. That is why they are using Platinum Recovery Solutions, which is owned by FNBO.
They are subject to the FDCPA and no matter, do not send them money to pay for statements since that payment can be construed as payment on the account and your seven year account period will start all over again.
The account numbers they are using are like VISA numbers, not Mastercard numbers to give you an idea of how they are trying to rip you off.
Here is some great contact information for InfiStar, Platinum Recovery Solutions and FNNI.

PRS doesn't have *all* of the FCNB accounts-resp to Debtor

I hope we can help get "Debtor" with getting the issue resolved. I work with Connie and am equally frustrated with FCNB's practices (or lack thereof). We'll do what we can to help.

Had a hard time finding my debt with infistar/Platinum Solutions

I had a nextcard account that I defaulted on and was charged off in 2002. They called once and I couldn't pay the one time payment of 2500.00. They never called again, but religiously updated my credit report. There was no contact number, no collection address, nothing. Well I got a copy of my free credit report today (11/12/2007) and noticed it said infistar/nextcard.
Infistar didn't have my account and referred me to their recovery department. 1 888-859-2267. I left my name and phone number, because that's all I could do. A man called and gave me another number and said that these people could probably help me. I never heard from that man again.
The number he gave me was Platinum Solutions Incorporated 1-888-513-1882 and after checking two computer systems she (Connie) found my debt.
Now I have to go to FNB Parkway in Omaha, Ne (that's First National Bank) to pay my debt. It was quite an ordeal and I hope these numbers which are current can help someone.
