On October 9,2013 I purchased the galaxy note3.

When I renewed my verizon contract I also upgraded to a Motorola (s3) I believe in the early part of 2013 At the Radio Shack store in Carrollton, TX. I purchased the phone for $199 with promotion and also 6 months warranty service phone protection. I canceled my service with Verizon some months later but I was allowed to keep the phone when it was determined that I wasn't getting good reception Which was a constant battle with other phones I've had with Verizon and was a customer for nine years.

When I transferred to T-Mobile I purchased a Galaxy Note3 using my Motorola phone as calateral. When the new service started I no longer needed to pay for warranty service for a phone I no longer had.

I wrote to Federal Warrenties Service Corporation in Atlanta, Ga per their instructions back in October 2013. I have been keeping up my payments with Radio Shack Credit and I HAVE NOT heard from anyone or received any refund since this issue happened.

I will also notify BBB of this careless and unprofessional act on consumers whom try and do things right but yet get ripped off.

Responding to party that has patroned RS for years

As i Have mentioned in my report.

I have been a Verizon customer to close to ten years. I really enjoyed my service with them but because of changing times and technology we all want to touch base with the latest and greatest and especially men that like to get their mitts on toys.

With the constant need for RECEPTION I was very dissatisfied especially after upgrading my phone with all the bells an whistles. I bought this phone in Radio Shack in a store near my job. I purchased the phone that was advertising a promotion of purchasing a Motorola S3 for $199. I of course wanted the upgrade which of course would renew my contract for another two years.

Being that I didn't have the money on hand I applied for a Radio Credit line for SIX MONTHS to purchase the phone if I also purchased the warranty service that the credit line would be extended another SIX MONTHS BUT ALSO NO INTEREST FOR A YEAR!.

When I wasn't getting good reception pretty much NOTHING in buildings and everywhere I went I Verizon honored my wishes of Canceling the contract and allowing me to keep the phone.

When I changed to T-Mobile I traded my phone in as a down payment but at the same time I was making payments to Radio Shack Credit Services for a phone I didn't have. I agreed with Radio Shack Credit Services that I'll pay for the phone BUT being I don't have the phone anymore I didn't see the reason to continue paying for any warranty service. I then was told by Federal Warranties Service Corporation the procedures and instructions of the process top have warrenty payments to be credited back to me which was in the amount of less than $150.00

With that said I did what they instructed by sending all the information they wanted which consisted of:

Type of phone, address and reason etc. I hope this brings some clarity on the matter. If not I beg that someone would be able to help me instead of all these intense questions. I just want to see some resolve in  the matter.

Normally you are allowed to cancel your warrenty WITHIN 30 days of your purchase. You said you purchased your phone through RadioShack. Well I have been a loyal RS customer for years when it comes to purchasing my cellphones. As I understand it, they have ONLY one warrenty program and thats for 2 years. Is this perhaps your carrier insurance that is offering a 6 month insurance? I only ask because if you were trying to cancel your warrenty AFTER the 30 days then youre stuck with that warrenty. Was this something that was added on to your cellphone bill? Or was this a third party insurance not affiliated with either RS or your carrier at the time?
