The FedEx shipment has bee a total mess. No package delivered. No refund of actual loss. The FedEx attendant was not with it.
I dropped off a large package at the FedEx store on May 13th. I had no problem helping the lady pick it up and put it on the scale to be weighed. I told her it was a new lawn mower engine being sent back to the supplier due to it being the wrong model. I gave her the RMA paper from the supplier which gave the address where it was to be sent and the contents inside. I paid $105.95 for the shipping cost and was just leaving when I noticed she had put the wrong address on my paperwork. I went back in and she changed the label and gave me a new receipt. This was fine until I received a charge from the supplier since the motor was never received back to them. I filed a lost package claim with FedEx and almost a month later I was told that I would be getting only $100.00 for my lost package plus the shipping charge that I paid Fedex. I was told that I should have taken out some special insurance. I was never told anything about any insurance and the lady at the FedEx store knew what was in the box and the value of it. She was confused from the start by almost shipping it to the wrong location and failing to mention about insurance when she knew of its value. I now noticed that the shipping address that FedEx has on their system is different from the final paperwork that she gave me.

I paid $1428.30 for this item and even sent in proof of purchase price however FedEx is only going to give me $100.00. This is totally unfair and I am forced to loose $1328.00 due to their mistake.  FedEx being a multimillion dollar company has RIPPED OFF an everyday person for $1328.00!

Ther Clerk Should Have Done A Better Job

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Thursday, July 06, 2017

If the cleark knew of the value then she should have mentioned about insurance available. I heve never shipped anything like that with them. I never knew that I needed to insure them to do what they were paid to do. The package according to thier records never left the store wherei dropped it off. I still believe that FedEx or a FedEx employee at the store STOLE FROM ME...

You were negligent

AUTHOR: coast - (USA)

The clerk’s knowledge of the value of the item is not relevant. FedEx did not steal from you. You were negligent by failing to insure the shipment; but you already knew that.
