Fedex Ground Did not attempt to deliver package Florence South Carolina

I totally agree that Fedex Ground is the worse shipping company out there. I use Fedex services all the time and also get Cigars from Switzerland in 2 day and I can not believe anyone could do that. Fedex ground is run completely differently then the rest of their services. If you do not have a tracking number on a package and call their office the first time that they claimed to try to deliver the package and no one was home they will eventually return it to sender if your phone number is not on the shipping label. This all slows down your shipment.

Several months ago I had a package that I was expecting from fedex ground. The tracking info on their site said they attempted to deliver twice. Normally you would think this is very possible but in this case it is more than unlikely. I have my Mother-in-law bed ridden on hospice living in my condo. This condo is on the top floor and is in a very quiet nice neighborhood. I have a nurse staying with her any time my wife and I go to work. There is always someone home. When someone knocks on the door it echo's through the small condo across the hard wood floors. Even a light tap is very loud. The driver claimed to try to deliver twice and even told his supervisor that he left two notices. I tell you this would be impossible not only someone not answering the door but to have a notice disappear from my protected from the weather and wind doorway.

I am sure there are good drivers as well as bad ones but also the problem lies in the 1 hour drive each morning from Florence South Carolina to the Myrtle Beach area each day with having shipping offices in the myrtle beach area that do not handle the Ground Shipping.

The Manager that I talked to at Fedex was very polite and totally agreed that the package was not attempted to be delivered. He apologized and I did eventually receive it about a week after it was due.

I will not stop using fedex by any means but I will never buy anything that will be shipped Fedex Ground
