Where do I start? Hidden fees, unauthorized credit card charges, fees that are 10 X the industry average, extreme difficulty in "breaking up" with this company and then unethical retribution afterwards are a few things you can expect if you partner or do business with Fibernet.

Shortly after signing up with Fibernet, to host servers which contained all of our clients websites, etc. we engaged in conversation regarding potentially sending our clients to them directly and not selling "Hosting" services ourselves. When they requested for us to simply "hand over" all of our clients Credit Card info, among other things, we quickly realized we were getting in bed with the wrong type of partner. We pulled the plug on that idea and suddenly all of our clients websites shut down. They said our servers, that they host, were hacked and that we'd have to pay money to have their guys fix the issue and get them back up. We quickly mentioned that we had paid them for a "backup" service just in case the servers were ever hacked, which is very important as our entire business hinges on online services we do for our clients. The phone rep informed us that the R1soft backup had never been set up, even though we had been paying extra for it for over a year. Our clients were pissed and we were being held hostage by Fibernet. Our entire business was in their hands, they new it and they exploited that.

It gets better! Our normal $800/month bill suddenly spiked to $10,000 that month because of increased traffic caused by the hackers. They ran our card without warning and said it was in our contract to pay for the charges. Their "overage charges" were 10 times what competing companies charged, which were never specified in the contract (unlike cell phone companies that specify the overage amounts). They also said the charges were continuing to mount unless we paid them even more to plug the hole from the hackers. I was told it was an hour fix at $100/hr. They charged me almost $400.

After speaking many times with the owner, he had no sympathy and was obviously bitter that we did not send our clients his way. We were able to scrape the data from the servers and have refused to pay this company another dime. They're now sending us to collections and we're seriously considering spending whatever money is required to sue the pants off this unbelievebly unethical company!
