Purchased a brand new 2005 Hyundai XG350 in Jan 2006 from Tony Hyundai of Hawaii.  Dealer sold me a Fidelity Platinum repair insurance for a total of $1600.

Took the car in to the dealer on Tuesday, the night before the scheduled appointment and got a rental.  At 85,000 miles, A/C had a leak since we first purchase the vehicle and then failed to work after a minor recharge.  The Air Bag light stays on due to an electrical fault, the rear strut has knocking noise due to a worn bushing and Windshield Wiper intermittent control does not operate wiper intermittently.  With that many problems, took the Hyundai to the dealer and informed them of the "extended" warranty.

Fidelty informed me that Hawaii inspectors take 24 to 48 hours to "check" the car and reports back Fidelity on their findings.  Dealership inspected the vehicle on Wednesday as schedule and due to the time differences between Central and Hawaii was not able to notify Fidelity until Thursday morning which dispatched an inspector to "verify" the dealer's findings. The inspection happened on Friday afternoon and with Monday being a holiday, left me in the rental for the entire weekend.

Tuesday afternoon, I was informed that Fidelty is only going to cover the evaporator leak on the A/C and nothing more.  Today is Wednesday and followed up with Fidelity saying that the A/C's other leak is from some previous accident, the bushing is worn and is not covered, the windshield wiper problem could not be validated and the Air Bag light is not covered under their passenger restraints systems clause.
